Have you forgotten who you really are?

Your body is God’s Holy Temple.
You are a NEW creation.
The same spirit who has raised Christ from the dead dwells in you.
You have a sound mind.
Christ is your wisdom.
You are Abraham’s seed.
You where made one with GOD and Christ.
You have self control.
You are as righteous as Christ is.
You have Christ Himself dwelling in you. He is YOUR life.
Your old man was Crucified With Christ.
You live by HIS Faith.
God has given you EVERYTHING pertaining to living a holy and Godly life.
You are Complete in Him.

These are the facts!
Why not embrace them and enjoy them?

Thanks for this Tuc. Maybe someone else could add some more to the list.

You are as righteous as Christ is.

I find this statement troubling. It implies I am as good as Jesus and everyone who knows me believes otherwise and I do likewise with other saints.

To answer your question why we do not embrace them and enjoy them - it may be because our body has not been completely redeemed - we are still bedeviled by the flesh.

My opinion.

We are the righteousness of God in Him.

Romans 3:22, "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:"

Romans 6:18, "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."

1 Corinthians 1:30, "But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:"

Philippians 3:, "And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:"

2 Corinthians 5:2, "For he hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."
