The Call to Obedience is an action taken by too few Christian leaders. The call to obedience is Biblical but requires courage from those who give it. Obedience requires discipline. No discipline seems pleasant at the moment although afterwards it yields fruit (Hebrews 12:11). It is Biblical to call others to obedience and holiness and discipline but too few will do it. On the contrary, calls to worship are frequent and common. The call to worship is easy to find in Christendom but Christian worship seems to be expressed > 99% in music and < 1% in prayer and testimony and in living the life of obedience to God. If we fail to encounter Father, Son and Holy Spirit with truth and honesty, then it is easy to imagine God as someone different than who He has declared Himself to be and then worship that idolatrous figment of imagination. Observe and lament how often that calls to worship are being given in the absence of the call to fear God. Observe and lament how often that calls to worship are being given in the absence of the call to obedience. The winds and the waves obeyed Jesus. The demons obeyed Jesus. Read the gospels to see this. Why should the professed people of God called Christians not obey Jesus?"For the time is coming when judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)Have Faith in God. Fear God. Obey God.
