Son Of Thunder i come from a land down under, due south at the bottom of your work globes

He came to his own ...but his own recieveth him not

Jesus said "salvation is of the jews" to the woman at the well:

Which it exclusively was at that time. (paul said in galations for instance we are not sinners of the gentiles ...but we who are Jews by nature (Galations)

Indeed they were: seed of abraham, hebrews by lineage, of the circumcision, descendants of the twelve tribes ( jews by nature)

Jesus was technically a Jew ( made of the seed of david ...according to the flesh ( Romans chapter one)

Therefore knowing he was the son of david ( after the flesh) that is:

It must have been gut wrenching to come to your very own...

Only to have your own ...recieve you not:

Isaiah saith he was despised and rejected of men.

Yeah even his Own countrymen ( the jews)

Oh how he would have gathered them as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings ...and you would not!.

Therefore - your house is left unto you DESOLATE.

Paul said much the same: " be it known to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the gentiles, and that they will hear it.

Israels unbelief ...redounded unto the favour ...of the gentiles:
(thank God)

But its staggering and bewildering that Jesus came to bis very own:
but his own recieved him not. Israel's visitation and day of deliverance came -but they wist it not.

You could say ...they came ...they saw ... but conquered not

They had eyes to see, but saw it not! they had ears to hear but percieved it not.

Israel sadly missed her messiah. And payed for it: (dearly)

the gentiles benefited from this rejection however.

That said we can still reject the messiah and recieve him not. (today)

And in effect crucicying our Lord afresh.

But dont let that be your testimony: beloved.

Amen and Amen.

You have the chance the opportunity to fully recieve Christ Jesus as both Lord and Savior ( and risen king ) Glory !!!
