 Quiet in the Land?

We normally think of disaster as something loud and clearly seen by all. That is not necessarily the case, however.

With the exception of a few, isolated natural disaster such as winds, fires, and floods, there seems to be relative quiet in our land. There has been for several years. So many opportunities for impending doom seem to be lingering on, and on, and on with none having actually come to pass.

Our economy is way beyond broke, but more money is printed and passed out; godlessness multiplies exponentially, but God's mercy waits patiently; a large percentage of the Christian community in America and throughout the free world acts out unashamedly with greater abominations, yet God has not called them to account, and He speaks about it only in corners; threats against Israel multiply and the nations continue to boast proudly against her; the Arab world is rebelling against itself and is arming with weapons of war from Russia (Gog); and how many more things can we say are in the works for soon-coming disaster?

Yet while there is an eerie quiet in the Land at this moment, I believe the greatest disaster in history is taking place right now. That disaster is the overwhelming deception that is leading multitudes away from truth. Apostasy is in full-swing among those of this world, AND among those who profess Jesus Christ! (II Thess. 2; II Tim. 2-4; II Pet. 3, etc.)

"He that has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches." (Rev. 2-3)

Let us take care, fellow saints, that we prioritize praying for one another and encouraging one another onward to "love and good works" (God's will). Our Lord said, "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41
