A poem...One by one He took them from me,All the things I valued most,Until I was empty-handed;Every glittering toy was lost. And I walked earths highways, grieving,In my rags and poverty.Till I heard His voice inviting,Lift your empty hands to Me!So I held my hands toward heaven,And He filled them with a storeOf His own transcendent riches,Till they could contain no more. And at last I comprehendedWith my stupid mind and dull,That God COULD not pour His richesInto hands already full!_________________________________________________________I thought this a very beautiful poem and so decided to share it here. When I read it I thought what a wonderful reminder of where are true treasures come from...God Blessmayjane
Amen to the poem. He pours into the emptied heart....bro FrankWho has measured out the waters In the hollow of His hand? Who has measured out the heavens And measured them with a span? Who created every star And knows them all by name? Who has knelt down at His feet And still remained the same? Who then is like our God Who is brighter than the sun? Who is Father, Son and Holy Ghost Who is three but who is one Lift up your eyes on high And see the glory of our King See the heavenly choirs of angels Lift their voice to Him and sing Man's own strength it has an end And even young men fall But those who wait upon the Lord Shall hear the Master's call Rise up, rise up ye weary saint! And fly where eagle's fly You will run and shall not faint You shall soar into the sky
Hi, MaryJaneThanks for sharing this wonderful poem with us. The ending thought was exceedingly surprising ... and true.If you are interested in viewing some thought provoking Flash presentations, I have made some available at stolenspirit dot com .I'm especially fond of the "Light of the World" presentation because it was my very first Flash project. I created it after listening to an audio teaching which I had found very helpful at the time.=================================empty handsby MaryJane on 2012/6/8 19:42:29=================================
Thank you Frank for sharing this beautiful poem with us all. I love the imagery these words paint, I get such a lovely picture of HIM in my mind and heart as I read over the words. They truly give me such hope and I can carry these pictures with me though out the day. So much better then some of the muck out there in the world that wants to fill my head :)God Blessmj
BlayneThank you for sharing what the LORD has placed on your heart with me. I will go check out the flash presentation you mentioned. I know FATHER has used such media in my own walk to bring me out of some difficult places. One such teaching that really opened my heart to others was "what is your wall?" GOD used this one greatly in my life. God Blessmj
Hi MJ, amen, it is good to fill our minds with the glory of God................bro Frank
