One Resurrection of the Just in our Glorified Body

JESUS rose from the grave in his new body

There is one Truth that is stated and confirmed in the Letter of
Corinthians written by Paul, that is, Jesus died and on the third day he
arose from the grave in his new body that was raised in incorruption,
in glory, in power and a spiritual body. 1 Cor 15:4, 1 Cor 15:42-44

Jesus was seen in his new body by many other witnesses. 1 Cor 15: 1-8
Jesus now remains as High Priest forever pleading on our behalf.

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures:
1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at
once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are
fallen asleep.
1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of
due time.

1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in
corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in
weakness; it is raised in power:
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

There were many bodies raised from the dead before Jesus died and many
more after, however these bodies were not the new incorruptible bodies.

Mat_10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out
devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Mat_11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers
are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor
have the gospel preached to them.
Luk_7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell
John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the
lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised,
to the poor the gospel is preached.
Luk_20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush,
when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and
the God of Jacob.
Joh_12:1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where
Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
Joh_12:9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and
they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus
also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Joh_12:17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus
out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
Heb_11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others
were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a
better resurrection:

Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:20- 22 that Jesus rose from the dead,
and he was the Firstfruits of those that were dead.
Who was the Firstfruits?(Jesus was the Firstfruits)
It also states that by the man Adam mankind died but by the man Jesus
came also the resurrection of the dead.
So in Christ (all shall) be made alive.

1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the
firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the
resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made
alive.

Paul states in verse 23 that there is an order of Resurrection, Christ
the Firstfruits, a single Resurrection and afterward they that are
Christ's at his coming.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Paul states only one Resurrection of those in Christ, when? At his coming, NOT COMINGS
First was Jesus then afterward those that are Christs at his coming.
Paul quite clearly states Jesus COMING as a singular event, there is no
mention of any other Resurrections of those in Christ later on or before.

1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ
not risen:
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and
your faith is also vain.
1Co 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet
in your sins.
1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are
perished.
1Co 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all
men most miserable.

Let us now look in the same letter of Corinthians regarding when and how
our body will be raised.
Paul states quite clearly that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
Kingdom of God, we shall not all die but we shall all be changed.
Paul states that this time of change into our new incorruptible bodies
takes place in the twinkling of an eye.
(Not over a period of time or in more than one Resurrection, IN THE
TWINKLING OF AN EYE.
Paul also states that this would take place at the last trumpet sound,
only one trumpet sound, the last, not more that one.

1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this
mortal must put on immortality.

The Book of Romans speaks of our longing for our new body

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in
pain together until now.
Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the
firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves,
waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

The Letter of 2 Cor also speaks of Jesus raising us with our new body.

2Co 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is
written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and
therefore speak;
2Co 4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up
us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
2Co 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace
might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

2Co 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
2Co 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon
with our house which is from heaven:
2Co 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
2Co 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened:
not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality
might be swallowed up of life.

Jesus speaks in the Book of John regarding the Resurrection of those in
him at the Last Day, here he is talking about the believers in Christ.

Joh_6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all
which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up
again at the last day.
Joh_6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which
seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I
will raise him up at the last day.
Joh_6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me
draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh_6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal
life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Let us now look at Jesus who is our Lamb who was sacrificed for the
whole world.

Joh_1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith,
Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Joh_1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb
of God!
1Pe_1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot:
Rev_5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the
four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been
slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of
God sent forth into all the earth.
Rev_5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to
receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and
glory, and blessing.
Rev_7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man
could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues,
stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes,
and palms in their hands;
Rev_7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God
which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev_7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me,
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev_7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed
them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Rev_12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev_13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world.
Rev_17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that
are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Rev_19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the
marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev_19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called
unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are
the true sayings of God.
Rev_21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the
seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying,
Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Rev_21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that
defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but
they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

As we can see by the above verses Jesus is our Lamb, he was our
sacrifice and our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life.
Let us look at how the Lamb was our sacrifice for the Old Covenant and
the New Covenant.

Eph_5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given
himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling
savour.
Heb_7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up
sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this
he did once, when he offered up himself.
Heb_9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of
the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put
away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Heb_10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice
and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Heb_10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for
ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb_2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto
his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in
things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the
people.

The sacrifices prior to Jesus did not take away the sins, they could
never take away the sins.

Heb_9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto
them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto
salvation.

Heb_10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of
sins every year.
Heb_10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats
should take away sins.
Heb_10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

Heb_10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because
that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of
sins.

It says in Hebrews 9:28 that Jesus will come again a second time to
those that look to him.
Let us now summarise all that we have seen as Truth in the Study.

There is one Truth that is stated and confirmed in the Letter of
Corinthians written by Paul, that is Jesus died and on the third day he
arose from the grave in his new body that was raised in incorruption,
in glory, in power and a spiritual body.

There were many bodies raised from the dead before Jesus died and many
more after, however these bodies were not the new incorruptible bodies.

Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:20- 22 that Jesus rose from the dead,
and he was the Firstfruits of those that were dead.
(Jesus was the Firstfruits)
It also states that by the man Adam mankind died but by the man Jesus
came also the resurrection of the dead.
So in Christ (all shall) be made alive.

Paul states in verse 23 that there is an order of Resurrection, Christ
the Firstfruits, a single Resurrection and afterward they that are
Christ's at his coming, the second coming.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Paul states no mention of any other Resurrections of those in Christ
First was Jesus then afterwards those that are Christs at his coming.
Paul quite clearly states COMING as a singular event, there is no
mention of any other Resurrections of those in Christ later on.

That leaves us with one thought, those in Christ will be raised in our
new bodies, at the last trumpet sound, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last day.

One singular and glorious event.

Another Good study is the study on the Resurrection of the Unjust spoken of in various letters and books in the Bible
Revelations 20 speaks of that Resurrection in Christ before the 1000
year reign and that those who are in this resurrection will not have to
fear the second death of judgement that will take place after the
resurrection of the Unjust after the 1000 year reign of Christ.
I cannot wait to Live with Christ, at present we suffer but then we SHALL LIVE

Without our new glorious body we would not have everlasting Life without sickness and pain
The Hope and Faith that we have is a Truthful and Living Hope and Faith, that is to be raised incorruptible and spend Eternity with the Risen Lord our Savior and God the Father.
Think of it Complete Life and Intimacy
