Can anyone recommend the "best" biographical treatment of the life of J. Hudson Taylor?

check out http://www.wholesomewords.org/biography/biorptaylor.html for some short but free materials first for a flavour of Hudson Taylor. There are 2 books I would recommend. OMF, renamed from China Inland Mission, has lots of material including the 2 volume set and Hudson Taylors Spiritual Secret. They can be found at http://www.omf.org/omf/canada/resources/books__1/search_by_titles__1/e_h__1/hudson_taylor_2_volume_set"Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. They mourned for Him, they prayed and wrestled and sought for Him day and night, in season and out, and when they had found Him the finding was all the sweeter for the long seeking." I don't know about the 'best' biography, but 'Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secrets' by Dr. Howard Taylor, Hudson's son. Anything that China Inland Mission published is going to be your most accurate bio. This is his life story and will give you his testimony and life account. Bethany House also published a series of Chrsitian biogrpahies, shorter in nature, but still catching the impact of their lives yielded to the Lord. Here is a listing of others off of this page for you:http://www.wholesomewords.org/biography/biorptaylor.html
Thank you for the tips and links. Any other recommendations out there? Has anyone read the book "The White Devil?"
"It seemed GOD had looked the whole world to find a man weak enough to do HIS work; and when HE at last found me, HE said: "He is weak enough--he'll do." HUDSON TAYLOR
