Even on the darkest day do not forget to say, Thank You, Father! Especially on such days you will find it a great help to list the blessings the Lord has given you for body and soul. Giving thanks will make an overcast day bright. God sends dark days only to test you, to see whether you will remain faithful in giving Him the thanks you owe Him. Those who cannot give thanks on sad days have not yet learnt their lesson. Giving thanks when it does not come easily is a sacrifice. But only a thank offering an act of thanksgiving which costs us something is precious in Gods sight and of real worth. God says, He who brings thanksgiving as his sacrifice honours me.Psalm 50:23 RSVfrom: http://www.kanaan.org/international/daily_readings/july.htm
