[img]http://www.sermonindex.net/images/forum/2004/may/featured_news.gif[/img]An Evangelical Christian preacher was ordered yesterday to stop bombarding Mormons with mobile phone calls and text messages and to keep away from their missions.The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was granted an injunction at the High Court restraining Andrew Price in his attempts to lure Mormons away from their faith.In a judgment lasting nearly three hours, Mr Justice Beatson banned Mr Price from ringing missionaries on their mobile phones unless invited to do so.He also created an "exclusion zone", which bans Mr Price from within 30 yards of any Mormon mission, with the exception of its central London headquarters in south Kensington. There, he is barred from standing on the same side of the road.The judge had been told that Mr Price, 44, from Chiswick, west London, had made thousands of "cold calls" to Mormon missionaries' mobiles and deluged them with religious text messages. He spent days evangelising outside their missions and on one occasion spent nearly three hours knocking on an elder's door.
