DAILY LIGHT - DECEMBER 29 MORNING

Understanding what the will of the Lord is.

This is the will of God, even your sanctification. - Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. - This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. - We know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

We ... do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. - The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ... give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your under-standing being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us ward who believe.

EPH. 5:17. I Thes. 4:3. Job 22:21. John 17:3. -I John 5:20. Col. 1:9. Eph. 1:17 19.

 Re: LIGHT's REFLECTION -- DECEMBER 29 EVENING

Understand what the will of the Lord is.--Eph. 5:17

God's will is described in Romans 12:2 as "Good, and acceptable, and perfect." Practical holiness consists in proving this will through usage. This does not point to a mere external or mechanical compliance with it. It includes both inward and outward approval of it.

This assumes such a change within ourselves, that by a holy instinct we not only discern it, but we welcome it as it stands unchanging; and amidst conflicting influences we choose the will of God always.

Our text from the Epistle to the Ephesians brings before us the contrast between:

1.) the dull and blinded undiscerning sense of a low spirituality-->"the unwise,"

or

2.) the quick and enlightened perception of the consecrated soul. It is this one who "presents" and "yeilds" themselves wholly to God, who consecrate their BODY with all it's faculties and powers, even as their spirit in relation to outward expression.

When we do this, only then does God avail us His discernment in even the the most intricate details of life. Our level of commitment towards God's will is availed with God's discernment according to our confident obedience in His will. How often the believer is heard to say, "My difficulty is how to know what God's will is!" The Bible teaches as we DO God's will, so we KNOW:

"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
( Col. 1:9-17 )

 Re:

Hallelujah!
Happy is the man who fears the LORD,
taking great delight in His commands. . .
Light shines in the darkness for the upright man.
He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
He will never be shaken.
The righteous man will be remembered forever.
He will not fear bad news;
His heart is confident, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is assured; he will not fear.
In the end he will triumph on his foes.
(Ps. 112.1, 4, 6-8, HCSB)

Through relying in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, how can we lose walking in and by His Spirit: who gives grace upon grace to walk according His good pleasure, His will.

Alot of times in this life it has seemed to others that the wicked who walk their own twisted path would win over God's will followed, but in the end often they can no longer even be found.

No plan or purpose of any other can overcome God's intentions!

Hallel u Yah!

Jesus says, "he who endures to the end shall be saved."

God's will remains established, a firmly fixed unshakable foundation.

Praise the Lord God almighty who saves completely.
