"Show Me a denarius. Whose likeness and inscription does it have?" They said, "Caesar's." And He said to them, "Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Luke 20:24-25We are all like coins for we bear an image, either the god of this world, Satan, or the Lord Jesus Christ. And those that bear the image of Satan belong to Satan, and those who bear the Image of Jesus Christ belong to God. We have a coin in America that has a large head of a man on it and in tiny letters is written in God we Trust. Many of us in the church are like the American coin, we bear the Image of Satan but in tiny little letters we engrave on our self In god we trust. This is just a form of Godliness. The true Image bearers of Jesus have emblazoned upon them in large letters IN GOD WE TRUST for that is truly How the Lord lived his entire life, and it is how we are to live ours if we are to bear his image. Many of us really trust in our flesh, our own strivngs and strainings, while slapping a little in god we trust on it, and we call this Christianity. We must crucify the flesh and its desires, so that Jesus may Increase as we decrease, then we will bear the Image of the Glorious Lord Jesus.
