 Solemn Assembly Called!

Image: https://www.sermonindex.net/revival/eblast_broken.jpg

ABOUT THE EVENT:

This year in the Southern Baptist Convention, Dan Biser called for a Solemn Assembly in the movement and it was ignored. There is a such a great need for revival in the Christian Church In North America. I fully support the burden of brother Dan for prevailing prayer in the Church. Would you not consider participating in this event in person or online?

WHEN AND WHERE?:

July 24th-30th, 2010

at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Hagerstown, MD, USA

Saints,

I encourage you strongly to pray about considering attending this event in person or online. Share it with others. Oh the need for a group of God's people to meet specifically to cry out in prevailing prayer to God for true revival.

 Re:

We will continue to reach out to the church as a whole to recognize July 25 as a day of fasting and humbling themselves before the Lord. Time should be spent in confession, and seeking His face for mercy. We know we deserve His wrath for the sins of the nation and the church. 'WE have sinned' is found throughout the prophets prayers; but, we seek the Lord that 'in wrath remember mercy.'

 Re: Solemn Assembly Called!

“Gird yourselves with sackcloth, and lament, O priests; Wail, O ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God…Consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the Lord your God and cry out to the Lord…Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble…Yet even now, declares the Lord, return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping and mourning, and rend your heart and not your garments. Now return to the Lord your God. For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him…Blow a trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly, gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing infants. Let the bridegroom come out of his room and the bride out of her bridal chamber. Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, ‘Spare Thy people, O Lord, and do not make Thine inheritance a reproach, a byword among the nations." (From Joel 1 & 2)

These solemn assemblies are very important if we are going to see revival come to our nation.

There is a solemn assembly that has been called for New Orleams La. by Pastor Willie Wooten.

 Re:

Are they providing inexpensive hotel rates like in Indianapolis? That was a huge blessing.

 Re: letter

We continue to receive encouraging words as we near our time of prayer. Thank you to all those that are praying with us and crying out to God for mercy on the land, the church, families and our own selves. 'Saying prayers' will not suffice, it must be prevailing prayer during these days. Thank you again!!

until,
dan

 Re: Solemn Assembly Called!

We continue to see sin abound, evil winning the souls of so many. At the heart of life itself we see: chrisitnas bound by sin; families being destroyed; earthquackes (washington, dc this morning) drought found in some places, flooding in others; the church sits powerless without the effictive hope to win the day for our Lord. He has commanded of us that when we see such things we are to humble ourselves before Him - realizing we can do nothing, but all things are possible in Him; we are to confess our sins and transgression and seek His mercy; we are to pray and weep for the souls of our loved ones, the souls that have an eternity awaiting them in hell. 'It is time to seek the Lord'
