Tear the veil and see the Face of God

"I believe that we are under positive spiritual obligation to pray effectively till the present veil is torn away and the face of God is seen again by believing men. The second object at which our prayers should be aimed is the restoration of the spiritual life of the church. We must continue to pray that she she should cease her disgraceful fornication with the world and return to her first love and her true Lord. Her living has degenerated, her tastes have declined , her standards have sunk to the bottom. Nothing short of a radical reformation can save her. Only those with anointed eyes are able to see her plight and only those with Spirit-filled hearts can intercede for her effectively."  Re: Tear the veil and see the Face of God

We don't want the veil torn away, it will cost us. As it is, it seems we are not ready to pay the cost of the veil being torn away.

With the veil torn, we would see God, and that would too fearful, more than we could imagine.

The accountability that we so dread, would surface.

We want God, but without the cost, the pain, the accountability, and with the compromise and lukewarmness that we are used to.

Not so.

We are either hot or cold.

Which is it?

Re: Tear the veil and see the Face of God

I had written this in my journal this morning as I was meditating on Hebrews 2:5.

"Willing subjection to this King to whom this 'future world' has been subjected will also spoil the control of the principalities, which always seek to bring men underneath their carnal subjection. The principalities ever live to direct our gaze toward that which is less than utter kingdom reality. They, given the choice between a shadow, and that which casts it, will ever cause men to fixate upon the liquidity of the water of life, upon a cracker in the place of the bread of life, and upon a day rather than upon the eternal rest that day represents. Christ rent the veil it is true, but the principalities ever live to sew it back up again."

A life lived within the veil is a life of heavenly reality. Anything other is a paltry shadow...Help us Oh Captain of our salvation to live in thy eternal rest...

 Re:

I appreciate what you brothers have shared about the veil being removed so that we can behold the Lord as we ought to. Beholding the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ will cause the transformation that we are in need of. We desperately need to spend time in the presence of God. We should be praying the apostolic prayer in Ephesians 1 on a regular basis. That God would grant unto the Church, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, that the eyes of our understanding would be flooded with light.

Jesus Christ is coming back for a Church without spot or wrinkle. If the Church does not willingly seek Him when things are good, He will shake us out of our comfort zone, so that we will no longer be satisfied with our spiritual condition. "Blessed are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."

 Re:

There is a common thought among the three replies, God bless my brothers in Christ. Consider the following Scriptures...

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

There is an agony to the presence of God, there is a death to self, death to the flesh, but there is also a joy to the presence of God, joy unspeakable. There is a glory that overwhelms us and makes us fall on our faces before the living God, a glory that burns all the way through us and gives us the strenght to stand up and rise up for Christ's sake.

"For it is the God who commanded light to shine into darkness who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." (2 Cor 4:6)

Can we know the glory of God? Can we even walk as Christians if we have not experienced the glory of God? I say that we cannot be victorious Christians outside of this “knowledge.’ Those who have experienced the glory of God walk in victory. It is this victory that allows for joy even in the midst of suffering. For those who walk in the presence of God, who have seen the glory of God in the face of Jesus cannot help but radiate His glory. It is not something that is achieved. If I radiate joy its because I am like the moon. The moon is a dead object, yet the light of the sun reflects off the moon and lights up a dark world. And just as the moon, by virtue of its position to the sun and the earth, radiates the light down into the darkness, then so to do those Christians who come before the throne and kneel before the King radiate the light from this glorious place into the darkness of the world.

Paul says in 2 Cor 2:14 ” Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place, for we are to God, the fragrance of Christ. “

Do you walk in triumph? Do you diffuse the fragrance of His Knowledge in every place? If you have not experienced the knowledge of His glory then how can you radiate and reflect and diffuse the beauty of His presence and the manifest glory of who He is ? If you have not stood in the manifest presence of God and glow from that encounter, then how can you effectively share the reality of Jesus? Now, this message is received differently depending on who the hearer is. This beautiful aroma, this fragrance, this light of His presence is gladly accepted by those who are being saved and it is life to them. Yet to those who hearts are veiled to the knowledge of His glory, to the magnificent encounter of His presence, this message is death.

One is of the Spirit and the other is of the letter. To those of the Spirit, they are living epistles and the Spirit has engraved upon their very hearts the knowledge of His glory and they are ministers of righteousness and holiness and life. The others are of the letter and they are ministers of condemnation and death. The ministers of condemnation faces are veiled so that no one can see that what they preach has passed away. The ministers of righteousness are un-veiled so that the glory of the knowledge of God may radiate from them through Christ Jesus the King. They walk in liberty and freedom. And the more the ministers of righteousness and liberty and freedom walk in the knowledge of the glory of God the more they become like their King, Jesus.

“For it is the God who commanded light to shine into darkness who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Cor 4::6)

Has God the Father shone a light in your heart? Have you knelt or fallen prostrate in the light of the knowledge of glory of God in the face of Jesus? Do you radiate? Do you diffuse the fragrance of God? Do you walk in the light of the knowledge of the glory of God? Do you know that when we speak of knowledge that we are not speaking about information? The knowledge of the glory of God is an encounter. It is not information it is an experience. Only by experiencing the knowledge of the glory of God can we be transformed ” into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” ( 2 Cor 3:18)

This is the cry of our age , to stand in ” the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” Let us lay aside everything else until we have stood in that light and been transformed from glory to glory. Let us not run the rat race but run the race that brings us into His presence so that we can know the knowledge of the glory of God and share that with the passion that inevitably comes from such an encounter. People will be drawn to Christ by the light of the knowledge of glory that is in you, that is seared upon your heart, that makes you alive to the Spirit and dead to the world. Only by being dead to the world, as dead as the moon, can we truly be alive in Christ. And when we are alive in Christ and walk in proximity to Him then the light from the glory of God can truly be shone into the darkness............brother Frank

 Re:

G'day all

Matthew 11v12 : From the days of John the baptist till now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it.

Luke 16v16: The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it.

Oh Lord
We repent of our backsliding and half heartedness.
grant us the grace to do more than just "Get By". Lord that we may have an unction from heaven to press in and lay hold of what you have promised your people. We want You O Lord!
In the name of your Son

 Re:

Amen Tom, you write..........

"grant us the grace to do more than just "Get By".

When we are desperate enough, when we grow tired of the things of this world and begin to pursue the things of the next, when we are touched by the knowledge of the glory of God, then we will walk in the power of God. We will literaly shine and be full of passion. A passion to share the knowledge of the glory of God with others.......brother Frank
