Brother Andrew Coming To U.S. Churches October 2004

Thanks to Mrs Banks for forwarding this to me:

Brother Andrew, founder of Open Doors and author of the international bestseller God’s Smuggler, will visit the United States from his home in the Netherlands during late October.

He will speak at churches in Orange County (southern California), Dallas and Chicago. Brother Andrew will also make a stop in Denver to participate in a special Viva Colombia Celebration event, benefiting persecuted Christians in Colombia.

At many of these events he will sign copies of his new book Light Force: A Stirring Account of the Church Caught in the Middle East Crossfire.

“There is a growing excitement about Brother Andrew traveling to the United States,” says Open Doors USA President Dr. Carl Moeller. “He is recognized worldwide as a respected servant of God and an advocate and spokesman for persecuted Christians.

“It’s appropriate for him to be in the United States when Open Doors begins celebrating 50 years of ministry to the Persecuted Church. It all started in 1955 when Brother Andrew drove his Volkswagen behind the Iron Curtain to deliver Bibles to believers.

“I am sure he will challenge each of us to pray daily and stand strong with our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ. His message is certainly timely with the growing violence against Christians in such places as Iraq, Nigeria, China and Vietnam.”
