I am sure you could find more "speech" , "conversation" etc.I am always amazed at James 1:26....If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this ones religion is useless. - nkj
There is a book written by Richard Allestree (1619-1681) titled, "Government Of The Tongue" at www.ccel.org ;you may read it there if this topic interests you. It is indeed an amazing book. The Epistle of James is truly a blessing & sent by God Himself to bear witness of these great spiritual truths. May God purify my heart that my own tongue bless my neighbors as God would lead.
Thomas Manton, that very influential Puritan writer in the 1600s wrote a fascinating commentary on the Epistle Of James @ http://www.ccel.org/ccel/manton/manton04.iv.html
