Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus, this is my first post. This site is truly a well for the thirsty...but I do realize that admiring the water will not quench my thirst...my admiration must move to application. I have to permit the Holy Spirit to help me apply the tremendous truths to my life, moment by moment, or I am like the man who looks in a mirror then walks away, forgetting what he looks like.I'm not a preacher but wish to share some poems I believe the Lord has given me. My dilemma, is a fear of promoting myself rather than Christ. I would very much appreciate enlightenment regarding this. It is a constant battle for me. I have a long way to go but I'm growing in grace by His gace.SAVE THAT WHICH COMES FROM GOD...Save that which comes from GodWithin man's hidden heartThere is no splendour thereBut that which God impartsThe need is great thereforeThat He must cleanse us stillPurge with Christ's precious holy bloodAnd with His Spirit fillUntil adorned by graceReflecting the divineFurbish by faith each rough cut stoneWe are not ours but ThineHumility bedeckedReflecting Holy FireEach lustrous gem a splendour brightDesiring to rise higherFraught with the peace of GodFor Christ we shall endureHidden behind His glory...veiledEffulgently obscureThe table now is setThe feast already spreadHe waits as we until the timeThe Revelation's readSave that which comes from God There is no splendour thereDare we approach His Holy ThroneWithout repentant prayer?Raymond Sutherland
