Safe Schools or Pornography in the School House?

Jaw-Dropping GLSEN Book Recommendations

Several prominent blogs reported this week that Obama's "Safe Schools" czar/appointee, Kevin Jennings, was at the helm of the group GLSEN as it recommended books that are beyond graphic for school children. These selections are X-rated homosexual pornography, folks. GLSEN thinks it can get away with this by putting a mild disclaimer on its site-parents should review these selections, etc.-but that's no excuse.

This group positions itself as an expert on "safety" for kids. And GLSEN knows most parents never visit their site. GLSEN regularly bypasses parental involvement in everything they do, going directly to interact with kids even at the grade school level.

We'd like to direct readers to the in-depth report Mission America did back in 2002 about the totally inappropriate books that almost all remain on the GLSEN list.

To review the original Mission America coverage of GLSEN's pornographic books, go HERE:

The One World Government of Antichrist is in the making before our very eyes!

Wake up, brothers and sisters!!

God bless,

This is sick.

If you are not homeschooling your children I guess my only questions is: WHY NOT?

Glad you posted about this disgusting subject. I have been reading the developing story in a news forum. It is beyond disgusting that a person with Jennings background and beliefs was appointed as our "Safe School Czar!" This is exactly what I expected from the recently elected person filling the office of the President. I shouted warnings and no one listened. As a matter of fact, I was reprimanded for doing so. This is the 'hope and change' that was voted for. Things will only get worse from here.

Only our All Powerful, One Supreme God can use this to bring about His will and show forth His Glory. I praise His holy name and watch.

No one listened? Really? Obama did not win by a landslide. Now his approval rating is 44%... the lowest of any sitting President at this point in their administration since they started tracking this information during the days of Woodrow Wilson. It's way lower G.W. Bush was.

People are listening. You are not a martyr.

I get a little irritated by the whining I'm hearing on the conservative side. How about we stop all the whining... and give us a real person we can vote for??

Better yet... drop out of the political realm all together and become a missionary and build the kingdom of God.

There are a lot of schools that won't buy into this curriculum, at least for now. As for homeschooling, when you have Mommy and Daddy working to make ends meet, there is no time to consider homeschooling. I like the concept, I like it when I see families do it, but some families just can't do it.

 Re:

This is from another site, I am not going to leave a source because there are links there to the audio recordings of the conferences that Kevin Jennings attended and spoke about gross and disgusting things to teenagers.

Quote:
When we revealed this to the world a few months later it made national news. It was reported in all the Boston media – radio, TV and newspapers – and several national networks. FOX News came to Boston from New York to report on it. We made sure that each member of the Massachusetts Legislature was given a copy of the tape. GLSEN (and Kevin Jennings) did not dispute that the recordings were genuine or that the events did not take place as we described them. Instead, they tried to get a court to ban the tape and sue us. In fact, Jennings defended the event. But the Massachusetts Legislature wasn’t fazed. They caved in to the powerful homosexual movement. They have continued to fund GLSEN with taxpayer money. And in 2006 the Legislature wrote GLSEN into the general laws as a mandated member of the tax-supported Massachusetts Commission for GLBT Youth. This is the low opinion that our legislators have of your children.

I know that it may not be possible for all to be able to homeschool. I do pray that those that are not able to for any reason are being helped by the body to be able do something different than allowing public schools to have unfettered access to the minds of their children.

Help us Lord.

While it is true that there are circumstances in which both parents need to work, especially in this economy right now... HOWEVER... most families (even in the church!) that insist that both parents have to work are in that position because they are caught up in deep deep debt because of all their toys and possessions... and financial stupidty and foolishness.

That’s a fact.

They are not willing to sacrifice for their children.

I know many many successful homeschool families that by the world's standards are dirt poor... but boy are they stacking up riches in glory.

I know families who are living on less then $20,000 a year who are some of the most outstanding homeschoolers you'll ever meet.

We've had to sacrifice more than I've ever let on in this forum since the economy went in the tank. We're making it on far less than we ever have... and well below the national average income... but here we are... and God has proven to provide just what we need when we need it. We want for nothing.

I refuse to sit in judgment of any family who tells me they just cant afford to homeschool... but I will say that the vast majority of people who say that to me... are deceived and seduced by worldly possessions.

That’s a fact.

 Re:

Greetings Krispy

I was just going to post some of the same thoughts that you shared in your post. I to know of home school families with mom and dad working. There are times when others brothers and sister step in to fill the voids and help out, there are also times when grandmom and dad step in to help. I know of one family that both parents work and they teach their children in the afternoon and evening. It does require sacrifice on the parts of the parents but if their desire is to teach their children most will find a way to see that it happenes.

We have made it by just fine with the Lords provision as well. Just was able to get my youngest son the knew books he needed. I was able to get each subject with a full years lessons and all for less then 70.00 dollars. It cost most parents more then that just to buy school supplies and clothes for their child for a school year. God is good and faithful. I to know that I am very blessed.

God Bless
