See, Gods hands are nailed, they cannot strike thee; his feet also, he cannot run from thee. His arms are wide open to embrace thee, his head hangs down to kiss thee; his very heart is open, so that therein look, nay, even spy, and thou shalt see nothing therein but love, love, love, to thee. (John Trapp)When the curtain was rent from top to bottom, God's heart was laid bare for all the world. The pivotal moment , the height of the raging storm of Calvary, the cry of the forsaken reaches right into the very depths of the Holy of Holy's and all of a sudden, the work is done, it is finished. It is the very essence of Love working in the very depths of hell. Well the psalmist has said "where can thou flee from my Spirit?'......Frank
appolus,I like this... it reminded me of a song by Phillips, Craig and Dean from years ago, "Mercy Came Running." A line from the first verse... "I can almost see mercy's face pressed against the veil; looking with longing eyes, mercy must have realized that once His blood was sacrificed freedom would prevail." Here's a small video of the song... with lyrics:Mercy Came RunningGod bless

When first I looked at Calvary's cross,I saw GOD'S wrath displayed;I saw how much HE hated sinand frightened...ran away! For I knew that I was sinful, too;deserving wrath as well,I did not know which way to runto get away from hell.I looked again to Calvary's crossand saw GOD'S love displayed;Christ was dying in my place,my sins on Him were laid.He beckoned me to come to Himnot run as I had done before;I saw Him as my dying Lordand claimed Him as Savior evermore! One more look to Calvary's crosscaused all self to die in me;T'was not my Savior dying there,I saw myself upon that tree!YES! He died that I might not liveas the man I used to be!I'm dead! I died on Calvary's crossNow JESUS lives on in me!!
