Disneyland

God is God, who are we to say how He works & what He can do. He is sovereign. I have come out of being lukewarm & love the Lord with all my heart & want to do what He has for me.
When I first realised that I had been lukewarm, I went down the whole legalistic road, as with my nature I have a tendency to be like that. I got sick with lymphoma a year after being stirred up by the precious Holy Spirit. The only thing that got me through this was the love of God, I needed to know that He loved me first & foremost at my time of need.
This turned me away from being legalistic & it made me think about my own older children that have walked away from the Lord & I know it would be the love of God & by the Holy Spirit drawing them to Himself, it would NOT be by them being judged & whacked on the head.
Instead of judging, why don't we pray for these precious young people to so know God that they make a difference in others people's lives & see many other people come unto HIM!!!!

 Re: Disneyland

Lack of godly sorrow in conversion is a red flag. I'm not saying that there can be no joy in conversion, that is obvious, but rather that godly sorrow and brokeness over sin IS the biblical attitude (and model) of true repentance. Watch this video again and then go read psalm 51 and psalm 6. A good rule of thumb- If it can't be preached to a dying man, it shouldn't be preached.

 Re:

Abide,
Jesus never extended the grace of the gospel to prideful and unrepentant sinners.

I've heard that "God cannot be put into a box" so often that it's often used as a weak version of "touch not God's annointed" or even worse the ambigious "judge not..."

I understand that people are earnest to experience God on a deeper level, and yes, God is sovereign, but He will never operate contrary to what is revealed in scripture, no matter what anyone says. we must judge all things by scripture and not by what someone proclaims. I cannot fathom that the power of God would descend on a group of unregenerate sinners without an outbreak of sorrow over sin. We've come a long way from Wesley and Whitfield...

Another quote I heard (sorry, I don't know the author)

"We must be brought to mount Sinai before we can come to mount Zion"

 Re:

Quote:
She just confirmed that young man in his sins without him repenting or realizing what the Cross of Jesus Christ means at all.

If I may respectfully say brother, most do not realize what the cross of Jesus Christ means, even amongst believers. This site has a wealth of knowledge and teaching on this subject, but not all know about this site, not all sit under ministries that teach this. It took me a long time to understand and I sat under a ministry that taught the cross. I feel sorry for this generation, but not just this generation but everyone because even the old ones don't know. God only knows if the young man on the youtube means to follow the LORD. Sometimes deep contrition doesn't happen at first, there may be just a verbal recognition that Jesus Christ is LORD. After a while, he may find himself face first on the floor crying out to God to save him. When you think of Pentecost where they were cut to the heart and repented, but in Samaria there was great joy and when Peter preached the word to Cornelious household they all received the holy Spirit before they were baptized in water, God does things differently with each individual and groups of people.

But I do agree with you 100% there must be repentance and people need to know about what Jesus Christ did on that cross.

 Re: Revival in Disneyland

I just read this again, and have to agree with Greg. Here is a quote from the account:

Even gold dust showed up on many and three youths experienced supernatural weight loss as their once tight pants got looser and looser. Screams erupted as one man grew an inch taller while everyone looked on.

This is extrabiblical and cannot be substantiated in any way by scripture. Get back to the bible!

 Re:

We must go carefully on these miracles, as someone sad before in this threat, the devil can imitate miracles too, truly he cannot do new things but can imitate the work of God very well. We must know that this gifts (such as healing) and talents, God gives to man, but if the man departs from God's ways and starts doing things in his own effort in the Name of Jesus, God does not take away the gift from that people, He takes away His Spirit, His holy presence, and therefore that people still has his gift but not under the control of God. So we must taste the spirits here brethren. Does this healings drown people unto repentance; do they convict them of sin? Or is just one "cool" manifestation of the "cool Jesus". It really bothered me when i read those adjectives given to the supposed "work of God"...many kids entertaining themselves with the healing show,no fear for God`s Holiness, no respect and not awe.
And how is that these two young Christian guys allowed unregenerate, immature, ignorant kids placed their hands over others "in the name of Jesus" to heal them?
Don't underestimate the devils works saints, he knows exactly what people is looking for... what do the Lord Jesus said to the people of Galilee that went after him:

John 6:26 "Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled."

And this is the same spirit saints, if this people were true converted I hope to know of them not seeking now miracles manifestations only, and confounding God's presence with emotional movement, because this is what always has taken place in these kind of events...(for example, pensacola movement?)
Again, i find very questionable the dust gold thing, what would God do that for? to encourage our greed? This kind of manifestations over worldly person just enrich their thirst of wealth...it’s unbiblical saints, it draws people to God but in the wrong way, seeking Him as if He was some sort of genie, to satisfy their greed.

Just examine it carefully at the light of the Word.
The Lord Jesus is comming, be aware and taste the spirits.

 Re: Revival in Disneyland

I think that never-never Land is close to "Pirates of the Caribbean". Todd Bentley or Benny Hinn could not have done better. This is so absurd as being from God, that it amazes me; I'm stunned. If someone could fall for this tripe, cottoncandy type deception, what will you do when the man begins to call fire from Heaven down?

You will believe the lie, and forfeit your soul forever. Wake up, I beg you.

 Re:

Hi Kolo,
Do you have scripture that substantiates the claim you made below?

We must know that this gifts (such as healing) and talents, God gives to man, but if the man departs from God's ways and starts doing things in his own effort in the Name of Jesus, God does not take away the gift from that people, He takes away His Spirit, His holy presence, and therefore that people still has his gift but not under the control of God.

 Re:

Hi jlosinski
sure i can tell you, sorry i did not posted the verse below for better clarity.
Trough the logical mean of how gifts are given, we know a gift is for free and is not taken back.
But the Scripture in which i substantiate that claim is on Romans 11 from verse 25 forth. Evidently Paul is speaking here about the Israeli people, and this verse should also be prove against the doctrine of "replacement", because what God gives, he doesn't take it back.

It also does an emphatic claim about gifts,
This is what Romans 11:29 says:

29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

It's not necessary to be repented and be following the Lord in order to make the gifts work, they are irrevocable, and again, if they are not under God's control because the person is not truly repented, and is acting in his flesh, then, any other spirit can be controlling those manifestations.

Hope it helps,
Love
Karen
