the story of stuff

anyone seen this? http://www.storyofstuff.com/

its a short video about how our society is designed and how we just are "fuel" for the system and how we have been made consumers. A must watch.

 Re: the story of stuff

I was just wondering about this earlier today . . .

Also it is a blessing to find out why the Lord does not want me to use a pillow - who would have thought that they are full of chemicals.

 Re:

All the things discussed in the video were things we knew but seeing it all laid out and tied together is terrible to behold.

The woman calmly says, 'people did this - we are people, we can change it.' I think that is a gross misunderstanding of the evil of it all. The only thing that can change it is Jesus and when He does it will be too late for many.

A Church we pass by has a sign, "Turn to Jesus for too late will come too soon."

Amen, Come quickly, Lord Jesus

 Re:

The levels of evil are so high that they are starting to stack on top of each other. As rings on the surface of the water begin to overlap and cover the surface of the water, so it is with this evil that is upon our land. Satan is setting about to pollute everything, and anything, that he can get his claws into - for he loves the stench of our rotting flesh and he delights in seeing our hearts in despair. His folly is that the darker this world becomes, the brighter the Light appears.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

This reminds me of a Carter Conlon sermon called Seeing Through the Hands of Jesus, which challenges our attitudes to other people. (He preached a lot of sermons along this line last year.)
