 Jesus saves now

When I think of suffering my mind goes to the Lord Jesus and how he suffered. He suffered by coming to earth from Heaven. He also suffered with the sin, pain and sorrow of His creation. He suffered by the hands of the same creation, when we rejected Him and nailed Him to a cross. And most wonderfully of all, He suffered for us "...and God laid upon Him the iniquity of us all." If we want to dwell on the topic of suffering, none can compare to the lovely Lord Jesus. Jesus suffered to save sinners.

If we have fears, douts, worries, concerns, unbelief, about suffering we may encounter for Jesus Christ, we need to be saved. Jesus saves Christians just as effectively as He saves non-Christians. Salvation begins when we are born again, but is doesn't stop there. Continue to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Fears and doubts about ourselves are a manifest token of unbelief and an evidence that we need to be saved by Jesus not just once, but every day.

As you have therefore recieved Him (by grace, through faith, hungry, blind, poor, sinful, needy) so walk in Him. He freely gives to all who seek, ask and knock. Salvation is today not yesterday or tomorrow. Jesus only saves now.
