Hello...I am Katie from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I am fairly new to this site and loving it! My husband of 12 years is unsaved. I was saved in 2002. We have an 11 year old daughter who is caught in the middle. It's really tough when you and your spouse have different beliefs...and I had no idea how tough it was going to get. I'm sure it's very confusing for her and she gets mixed messages. I persevere and pray.I am a recent participant in Street Evangelism training in the Los Angeles area (AA #7) and learned so much in the short time that I was there. I wasn't brave enough to do Open Air preaching, but I did a quick stoplight preaching as well as tracting and 1-2-1's. I think I could do open air now as I definitely feel more confident. I think what impressed me most about the experience, was being with 50 other people so passionate about the Gospel. I've never had that experience before. And, since I've been used to being in churches in the past which have been dominated by women, being around so many Godly men was so incredibly powerful and eye-opening. I feel so blessed by God. I am in the midst of nowhere, but I know He is with me. I am doing everything I can to bring Him the glory He so greatly deserves for sending His Son to save me...a wretched sinner. I'm looking forward to connecting with other Christians...especially those on Vancouver Island.
