Can you help?

Does anyone know of a Bible website or software, preferably website, where you can view two diffeent scriptures at once like for comparison?

Note: I am not refering to something like a parallel Bible.

I mean say if you want to compare John 3:16 with 1 John 3:16, but you want to look at both scriptures are the same time.

Thanks for any help.

Don't know of any program that does that but, how about copy/paste? Just highlight the text you want and paste it into a 'text editing program' (like Notepad). You can have Notepad opened in multiple windows at the same time. Just line the windows up side by side or top to bottom, however you want.

Hope this helps,
white stone

P.S. If you need to see a screen shot of how it looks in application, send me a PM and I will be happy to make one and post it for you.

 Re:

You can actually do that with BibleGateway.com...

Separate the verses you want to see with commas in your search.

For example: John 3:16, 1st John 1:1

I have found that eSword does a great job and will split screens for doing what you want to do.

 Very nice link

Hello BlazedbyGod,

Thank you for the question, by the way. I find the two verses even more revealing when compared like that.

Hello TaylorOtwell,

That site is now bookmarked on my computer. Thank you for the new tool.

Kind regards,
white stone

 Re:

You can do this at crosswalk.com as well, use a semicolon to seperate the verses in the search text box. It will also list cross references for the verses. Here is a link to an example from crosswalk...Crosswalk.com

In Christ,

Ron

 Re:

Isn't there also some kind of software that you can download where when you post a scripture when you put your mouse (computer mouse) over the verse, the actual verse will pop up without you typing it or something like that. Does anyone know what I am talking about and where I could download something like that?

Bible collection deluxe
has pop ups and strongs numbers plus many commentaries included...

a rather inexpensive way to get a multitude of literature at your fingertips..

another way to just do what your first question would be to go to bible .com and just open two seperate web browsers and do seperate searches thus comparing that way.. FREE. but more of a hassle.
God bless.
