In darkened lands, where no light dwellsWhere no voice yet the gospel tellsA people lost and with no hopeNo light, so they in darkness gropeMy heart so long in ignoranceOr should we call it avoidance? So easy, life, when all concernsOn that for which my own heart yearnsBut God says Daughter, you must seeThe multitudes that know not MeAnd if your heart breaks not at thisThen has your faith not gone amiss? So now a heart that sees, that knowsIs this not the heart that goes?Or do I stay and yet denyThat I have ever heard the cryOf people lost and with no hopeNo light, so they in darkness grope

Very good words to stir the thoughtOf the life for which His death has bought. He longs for all that they might knowFor all He longs His love to show.We all are lost until we've foundThis fullness where His love abounds.Until our heart is filled with HimAn endless list His passion dims. But oh the joy when He has our all;Our heart is His, we hear His call. There is finally life of which to speak,It's what comes out when others we meet.It is not so much a matter of willBut more I think when our all He fills.

Oh how beautiful it is when these things flow from one person to the next!
I had a thought this morning that seems to fit too well to not include in this thread. In the entire Bible, there is only one thing that caused God/Jesus to sweat. When the children of Israel were backed against the Red Sea with the Egyptian army breathing down their neck, He didn't sweat. When Lazarus died before Jesus could arive, He didn't sweat. In both cases, with one hand tied behind His back, it was like, 'watch this'.But one thing did make Him sweat. It was in the garden, but it wasn't over going to the cross. Knowing He was getting ready to leave, He sweat drops of blood longing for us to be with Him. Longing for us to know the love He has for us. Longing that we would not doubt it. Longing that we would know Him, but knowing that many would not, He sweat drops of blood.I'm not posting this so much to suggest that we should sweat more over the fact that we and others do not know Him as He is able to be known, but more to emphasize the point of how much He longs to know us. It is only when we know Him to the extent that it is possible to know Him, that we are able to sweat less about the minor things and more about the major.
