I would have, if I may, the advice and thoughts of wiser, more mature Christians on some articles I have written in response to an Australian AOG pastor that was found to have lied about cancer to hide an addiction to pornography, and the state of the Church in general in Australia.I myself have received very little teaching or training on these matters however, in fact, most to all of what I know on the theology of evangelism is owed to both the members of Sermonindex and the sermons that are held within the site.As such, I would bring before you these articles I have written, for though my heart burns for a fuller expression of Christ and knowledge of Him in the church, I would not bring that about by rushing things and bringing about other false teaching for lack of editing and understanding on my part. So I would have those who are more advanced in the journey council me in my words. Here is the link here, the second article follows on somewhat from the first and is linked to at the end of the first. To moderators: I was not sure which forum would be best for this kind of thing, and as such, if you feel it better fits in another, feel free to move it. I do ask though, that as you move it, you also comment on it, for
One does not have to know much theology to bean effective evangelist. You need to knowthe saving grace of the gospel and to havethe testimony of the truth in your heart andthe witness of the Spirit in your life!!

Amen to the last statement. However, I am concerned that when people say that you do not have to know a lot about doctrine, it can be a subtly way of saying that we do not need to know a lot about our first love Jesus.Doctrine as well God-centered passion is very important in Evangelism. I highly Recommend this article by Ernest Reisinger on the subject:http://www.the-highway.com/evangelism1_Reisinger.htmlHere is a link to some classic articles on Evangelism:http://www.monergism.com/directory/link_category/Evangelism/Classic-Essays--Articles/
