The heart of the Apostle of Christ..
Would to God that you would bear with me a little in my folly, and indeed bear with me.
For I am jealous over you with Godly jealousy; for I have espoused you unto one husband, that I may present you as a chase virgin unto Christ.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preachethanother Jesuswhom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received (implied -from us) or another gospel which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
And no marvel, for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to his works.
The Apostle whom leaned on the chest of Christ says:
....who loveth to have the preeminence among them...
and Jude says:
These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear clouds they are without water...
These men, whomever they are, who glorify themselves, who walk arrogantly without the fear of God, who love to have the places of preeminence, who glory in money and exthort it from the weak, these men are no more an agent of Christ than the Pharisees of old. No matter how many fools run to them, no matter how many people they "knock" over, no matter how much money they hold, they are still representatives of another kingdom... which does not belong to God.
Jesus said: Take heed that you do not be deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying 'I am Christ'; and the time draweth near, go ye not therefore after them.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold I have told you before.
Since Christ has forwarned us, why would we not be careful. Since Christ has warned of deception, since Paul has warned of deception, and other down through history have warned of deception... it should be of no strange thing that men should arise in our time who are both deceived and deceiving. Actually many of them, much more than just one who makes the headlines.
Praying that the heart of revival becomes more important than the latest deceived man.
