“Herein is our love made perfect,
that we may have boldness in the day of judgment,
because as He is,so are we in this world.”
1 John 4:17

AMID... In the midst of,
among,
between,
in the course of,
surrounded by:
the aion- the ages- the world;
and that since the beginning of time
it has been given to humanity to have the freedom of volition.
To both pursue godliness,
as well as selfish satisfaction;
whose webs and tentacles, many and varied,
the fruits of which have destroyed and caused great havoc
for both the purveyor and the receivers of this demonically, carnal, unregenerate and fleshly way.

For those who peradventure choose to pursue godliness:
“To them, who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality...”,
who choose to: ‘fight the good fight of faith’,
to: ‘wrestle not with flesh and blood’,
who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.
To they who choose to love the Christ of God,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
and seek to honor and glorify the Father through this the Son of God,
by humbling themselves under the instruction of the Holy Spirit,
which was implanted into them,
and to honor the Scriptures and love the Word of God given to them,
and by the communication by grace and faith granted to them,
choosing rather to suffer with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.
To them who if needs be find themselves in various struggles, and testings, and temptations;
write I.

Be of good cheer brother and sister! For every heartache, every tear shed, every prayer groaned and quietly prayed, every misunderstanding, every stumbling hill climbed, even the frustrations within out own hearts at the current state of what we see should be more glorious inside of what is called the “church” is a means for us to further be changed,
from glory to glory,
into the image of the Beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ.

“And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”

“Hereafter I talk not much with you,
for the prince of this world cometh,
and hath nothing in Me.” John 14:30

“That the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of Glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation
in the knowledge of Him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know
what is the hope of His calling,
and what the riches of the glory
of His inheritance in the saints;
And what is the exceeding greatness
of His power towards us who believe,
according to the working of His mighty power
Which He wrought in Christ,
when He raised Him from the dead,
and set Him at His own right hand
in the heavenly places,
Far above principality,
and power,
and might,
and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this world,
but also in that which is to come.” Ephesians 1:18-21

“Wherein in times past,
ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit the now worketh in the children of disobedience." Ephesians 2:2

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you
the whole armor of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-14

“Let no man deceive himself.
If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world,
let him become a fool,
that he may be wise.
For the wisdom of this world
is foolishness to God.
For it is written:
“He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”1 Corinthians 3:18,19

For here we live, on this earth, in our flesh; we breathe this air, and we drink of this earthly water. The sun beats upon us in midsummer, and the rains dampen the earth and cause every green thing to grow, just as they have before we ever stood on this earth. Just as Christ said it does on both the just and the unjust.

“But if our gospel be hid,
it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not,
lest the light
of the glorious gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God,
should shine unto them.”
2 Corinthians 4:3,4

We can not, as spiritually reborn creation, expect that this world held under this curse would be heaven to us. For we wrestle in this world, this world represents a battlefield of spiritual dichotomies, one that we should in grace and faith be ready and able to recognize. Yet, often due to our own lack of clarity of sight, lack of faith, our own double-mindedness, our own hypocrisy, our own desires and covetousness, we often miss or misinterpret.

If thine eye be evil (unhealthy, unclear), thy whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Mt. 6:23

Neither should we expect that since our sins are washed in the blood of the Lamb, that the sins of those yet unborn into the family of God should be any different than unregenerate humans have ever been down through the annuls of time. In fact the scriptures teach us that “in the last days”, in that time after the birth of the Body of Christ times of great stress, and wicked men who are deceived and are deceiving would wax worse and worse.

While we dwell here on this earth, amid the thronging crowds of confusion, uncertainty, oppression, and foolishness, we are here as representatives of another kingdom! That Kingdom, which is endued with power from on high, one in which righteousness, dwells. One that is full of peace that overcomes fear, and hope that supercedes this momentary struggle. One that can discern the faults and sins of others and yet love as Christ has so loved them. One that can speak at the right moment and withhold ones tongue until that moment arrives. That kingdom which speaks the truth in love and that loves the Truth, which has spoken into their own hearts. This Kingdom which hateth the sin, yet loves the sinner; that can not endure falsity and hypocrisy in themselves or others. This kingdom which is eternal, which fadeth not away, which sees beyond that which is seen with the human eye into that which God has called into being. This Kingdom, whose inhabitants have seen the base things of this world chose by God, to become full of grace and beauty. Which have seen the foolish things of this world become wiser than the wisdom of this world, and that have recognized that there is nothing impossible for the King of the Kingdom!

“Charge them that are rich in this world,
that they be not high-minded,
nor trust in uncertain riches,
but in the living God,
who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
That they do good,
that they be rich in good works,
ready to distribute,
willing to communicate;
Laying up in store for themselves
a good foundation
against the time to come,
that they may lay hold of eternal life.” 1Timothy 6:17-19

Hold not that gold which perishes too close to your heart, rather spend yourselves for this Kingdom, for the King of Kings, for this the LORD of Lords and fear not the things that will come upon this earth. “For in this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.” says this King! Do unto the least of these, do it quietly and without fanfare, give to those who can not give back to you, take care of the widow and the orphan, leave the corners of your fields- the things useful to another, a portion- for the stranger, the poor and the widow. Do not ask of another, ‘and what of him?’, but rather ask ‘What would You have me to do?’

“For all nations have drunk
of the wine of the wrath
of her fornication,
and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her,
and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich
through the abundance of her delicacies.
And I heard another voice from heaven saying:
“Come out of her, My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.
For her sins have reached unto heaven,
and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Reward her, even as she has rewarded you,
and double unto her double according to her works;
in the cup which she hath filled to her double.
How much hath she glorified herself,
and lived deliciously,
so much torment and sorrow give her,
for she saith in her heart,
“I sit as a queen, and am no widow,
and shall see no sorrow.” The Revelation 18:3-7

This is a dichotomy to remember, this one had their sins remembered; and this one had their sins forgotten:

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever,
sat down on the right hand of God;
From henceforth expecting
til His enemies be made His footstool.
For by one offering
He hath perfected forever
them that are sanctified.
Whereof the Holy Ghost is a witness to us:
for after that He had said before:
‘This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
saith the Lord,
I will put My laws into their hearts,
and in their minds I will write them;
And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.’

Though now in this world we do not yet see the accomplishment of all enemies under the Lord’s feet. Yet nevertheless, it is an accomplished fact within the declaration of God, and therefore we believe it, surrender to it, trust it, love it, look forward to it. Should I spend my precious time stoning the devil’s dogs? Should I seek to try to hold up the ark and ‘help God out’? Should I fume over unrighteousness? Should I take care that the my love does not wax cold in this sinful, dark day?

Gideon’s army was small enough that those involved had to realize that it was only the LORD God who would win the battle. Not by the strength of horses, or men, or governments, or machines... Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.

“And the seventh angel sounded,
and there were great voices in heaven, saying,
'The kingdoms of this world
are become the kingdoms of our Lord,
and of His Christ,
and He shall reign forever
and ever.'”
The Revelation 11:15

Please forgive my repetitiveness, and the length of this post. I know these scriptures are very well known, but I pray that they will just speak to your hearts as they have spoken to mine.

Love in Christ
