 pray for my littliest son...

My 3 yr old got bit by a tick over the weekend. We've been keeping an eye on him, and today he spiked a high fever... can be a sign of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

My wife is at the pediatricians office w/him.

This is generally treated with anti-biotics with no problem, but still a bit disconcerting for my wife especially.

Thanx y'all...

Krispy

Krispy,

This can be traumatic...our daughter had a reaction like this too and she was treated for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. She recovered well. Praying and trusting your son will do likewise.

BTW, we also had a son who had a tick get deep into his ear and fasten itself on "something" in there, requiring a doctor's services to remove it. Who said raising children is boring? :-?

Blessings,
ginnyrose

 Re:

Good news... they did blood work and ruled out Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. They couldnt determine what was causing the fever, but sometimes kids get a viral infection with no symptoms other than a fever... so who knows. He slept well last night, still sleeping in fact. Still feels a little warm.

So praise God it wasnt what we thought it might be. Still praying whatever it is goes away.
