Christianity without Christ ?

I found this quote from General William Booth, the founder of the Salavation Army, that was made at the beginning of the 20th century, when he was asked what he thought to be the biggest biggest danger to the world. He said;

“I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century will be religion
without the Holy Ghost; Christianity without Christ; forgiveness without repentance;
salvation without regeneration; politics without God; and Heaven without Hell.”

His words were prophetic, with the Churches of our day---the "purpose driven, mega-church, emergent churches", and prosperous world of modern Christianity, the big churches have become big business.

 Re: Christianity without Christ ?

This article is right on. The message of salvation is Jesus and him alone. Works are only a bi-product of true conversion, His Works in us and not being perfect ourselves but being changed, a new creation. Many topics on this bi-product in what a true conversion produces and what it regenerates by HIS HOLY SPIRIT has been put off limits to all Pastors. When the Pastor or the man of God speaks of this bi-product as the scriptures also do, it reveals much hypocrisy. This effort was solely done by the devil and his workers for stopping the revealing of hypocrisy and it has been accomplished in a large scale by removing these comments on moral issues and how they relate to everyday issues from the pulpit and other places. The pulpits have been silent to long. The liberal lost people call this being politically incorrect and we have separation of church and state you know as they say. As a man thinks, so is he.
