Devotional: Running for CHRIST
towards HIM relentlessly is one matter. Running FROM the storm of the day
simply means it will chase you till its clouds fully envelop your frame. Your only defense is to stand in CHRIST. When you base your stance on the history which GOD has shown you several times
where HE has spared you from countless things
then you too can lean forward into the teeth of the storm which the devil brings. Unrelenting then refers to your forward stance which displays your faith in CHRIST. Well we all know that HIS power will sustain us no matter what the demonic host throws against us.Amen and Amen!UnrelentingTo stand at the edge of thefield as the stormapproaches,is to anticipate the contrastbetween calm breezes and chaos. It is to await the high windswhich bend trees andconfidences
and not shrink backwards ina shadowy retreatso complacent.Furthermore, it is where oneleans forward with zealdaring the devil
well knowing from Historys pagethat the storm passes thosewho do not run.As HIS servant in your service,WVW Jasnoch (12/8/07)
I think of Jonah and several other people in the Bible. Jonah ran from God but God chased him down. Gods loves us enough to chase us down and set our feet on a solid rock so we can look forward with confidence. When I was a young child there was a tornado that went up over our house. My dad made sure everyone else was in the basement but he loved to watch storms. He stood in our front doorway and watched as the tornado hit the ditch in our front yard and jump up over our house. We had this story to share often when other storms came our way. Praise the faithfulness of God! Indeed, the history of Gods faithfulness does give us confidence. Ephesians 6 talks about our spiritual weapons. Verse 13, in particuliar, says wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand.
