I was reading about Jesus appearing to some disciples after the resurrection on the road to Emmaus. He talked to them for awhile, showing through the scriptures that He was the Christ, and they did not know it was Him...Luke 24:30-32When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scripture to us?"I am so thankful that Jesus lives within me doing exactly the same thing. Opening up the Scriptures, and revealing Himself to me. Oh how my heart burns for this knowledge that the prophets of old longed to see into. Praise be to His Glorious Name!
