Quran can be used in courtrooms

Quran can be used in courtrooms

GREENSBORO — Muslims can now swear on the Quran when called as witnesses in North Carolina courtrooms, a Wake County judge ruled Thursday.

The decision represents a victory for the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina, which sued the state after two Guilford County judges rejected an offer from an Islamic center to provide county courthouses with free copies.

Woah. This is a pretty step in the wrong direction for our country.

Fantastic. This is not a religious state, sorry. Not all people are Christians. Not all people want to swear by the Bible. They have a Quran, or a Mormon Bible, that they'd prefer. So what? Do you want state-enforced religion? This is America!

And some would rather not swear on any book at all! That is their Constitutional right. "Congress shall make no ESTABLISHMENT of religion"-- that has been also over the 19th century been implemented to mean the states... so "States shall make no establishment of religion" etc. etc. This would be an establishment of religion and much against the important separation of church and state, to only allow people to swear on the Bible.

I hope none of us would 'swear' on a Bible?

The whole concept of the separation of Church and state is a vile, insidious ploy of the enemy which came through the sons of Japheth to cripple the Church. of course i am not surprised at the whole idea since America was not founded a Christian nation anyway, the Masonic influence saw to that. The Masons sought to move away from Faith as a way of governing and more to logic and reason and men coming together rather than leaning on God. As such it follows that they would see to writing in such a clause in the constitution to allow for free thought. This seems a good enough idea but free through apart from Christ is bondage in mind to Satan. Christianity is a Pariah to free thought because the Faith dictates every aspect of our lives from the cradle to the grave and even beyond. The separation of Church and state allowed the same men whom we venerate (in some cases worship as gods) to say this "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienble rights among them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." to own slaves and actually violate some of the tenants of the Faith in the name of the state. To further the state slavery was allowed. Some may say that some of the founding fathers treated their slaves better but that is not the point. in the word, there are certain guidlines which dictate how slaves are to be obtained and cared for. most of these were violated such as kidnapping slaves, keeping them for over 7 years and so on. This same wicked spirit was passed down and resulted in the extermination and marginalization of the native American, exploitation of the Chinese and a whole host of other wicked things done by American governments throughout history. This separation of Church and state allows men to push God out of the day to day runnings of the state and so it is only a matter of time before Satan so eats away at the fabric of the government that it collapses. This same mentality of Satan of separating God from the state spills over into our schools, workplaces, sports teams, you name it and it is all rotten for a lack of salt...You see brethren, the reason America is rotting away before our eyes is because we as Christians are not being Salt nor Light. We're not letting God be Lord of all. Where we work, we don't work as unto the Lord, on our sports teams, we don't play as unto the Lord, at school, we don't study as unto the Lord...is it any wonder that government is so corrupt? that politicians have such a bad reputation, or the whitehouse is seen with such disdain? The fact that people even dare to challenge the display of the things of God and such is an indictment against us that the things of God are not foremost in our lives. Men want the commandments removed from display because we don't have them written in our hearts nor practice them as we ought. the fact that men would want to swear on the book of a false prophet rather than the bible testifies of our guilt in not knowing the sciptures as we should.

i say this as one of many to whom God has shown a coming judgment on this nation and see things in the context of His Perspective. dear brethren, whosoever hears our Lord's call, i pray you REPENT, REPENT, REPENT OR DIE!!!

Grace and Peace to you all in Christ Jesus, AMEN.
