I was wondering if anyone knows about a revival that happened in Thayer, Missouriduring the (I think) the early 1900s. The townis located in the bottom middle of the state. From what I have heard is that a man by the name of Joe French was raised from the dead duringthis revival. If anyone has any information on itit would be great.
Hmm... I've never heard of it. I'm from Northwest Arkansas. I wouldn't mind hearing more info about it also.

I don't think I've heard of it either and I'm from south west Missouri. I'll ask around and see if anyone has though.~Joy
I ended up talking to my friend who told me about the revival, and he gave me some names of the people in the revival. I ended up finding information about the revival in Thayer and in Couch Missouri. It was in the Summer 1991 and 1982 editions of Heritage magazine which is the magazine of the Assemblies of God. Thesearticles can be found online by doing a Google search. The web site is call the Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center. I would recommend to read about these two revivals because they are interesting. If anyone finds more information let us know.

In the artical of Heritage Summer 1982 it says thatthat article was an abridged from Bowley's accounts published in the Pentecostal Evangel, June 12 and 19, 1948. If anyone know how to find a copy of this article let me know.
This is quite late for making this post but there is a book that I found on the internet that gives an account of this revival. It can be found in "The Sparkling Fountain" by Fred T. Corum and Hazel E. Bakewell. It has some revival history for the ozark area in Missouri and Arkansas.
