Saints,I was very blessed by this hymn of recent. Here is the audio of the hymn and the text below:Come Ye Sinners Poor And Needyhttps://www.sermonindex.net/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?lid=13836====COME, YE SINNERS, POOR AND NEEDYWords: Joseph Hart, 1759.Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,Weak and wounded, sick and sore;Jesus ready stands to save you,Full of pity, love and power.RefrainI will arise and go to Jesus,He will embrace me in His arms;In the arms of my dear Savior,O there are ten thousand charms.Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome,Gods free bounty glorify;True belief and true repentance,Every grace that brings you nigh.RefrainCome, ye weary, heavy laden,Lost and ruined by the fall;If you tarry till youre better,You will never come at all.RefrainView Him prostrate in the garden; On the ground your Maker lies.On the bloody tree behold Him;Sinner, will this not suffice?RefrainLo! thincarnate God ascended,Pleads the merit of His blood:Venture on Him, venture wholly,Let no other trust intrude.RefrainLet not conscience make you linger,Not of fitness fondly dream; All the fitness He requirethIs to feel your need of Him.Refrain

This is one of my favourites, and has been used greatly to comfort me in distress and sin-sickness. Oh the gracious words that point to a Great and gracious Saviour.I dont know of any other hymn that sumns up the gospel better than this dear hymn. This hymn is a gift of God to His people. Thank You Father!

Hart and Gadsby wrote many wonderful hymns. There is a Hymnal called "The Gadsby Hymnal" which is a tremendous blessing, and also the hymnal used at the Metropolitan Tabernacle which is called "Our Own Hymnbook" which are hymns sung at Spurgeon's Church, and they are arranged so if you read one of his sermons, you can match the hymns sung for it.

It is a wonderful hymn. Michael Card has a version which I like very much on his album, Starkindler. There is a excerpt here entitled I will arise and go to Jesus.
