Please pray, I quit my job.

Hi, everyone. I appreciate your prayers. Two months ago the church I was working at split and I lost my job. Then I got a job at a grocery store. I was developing photos until they switched me to checkout. I was more and more grieved by what I had to sell: not outright pornography but lots of gossip and vanity magazines like Cosmopolitan which serve the same purpose. How will they believe sin is deadly if I sell it?

For three weeks I tried to come up with some "plan of action"... and then I just said, "it's sin" and quit. So now I'm jobless.

"If you suffer for what is wrong, what credit is it to you?" 1 Peter. I should have considered the job before I took it, but please ask God to grant me a job where I can serve Him in action and heart. Some janitors can wear headphones... imagine all the time for studying and praying I could have as a janitor!

Mike:.
Age 22, aspires to janitorial work (or whatever God has)

Father I thank you for Mike who would,

Psa 84:10 For a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

rather be a doorkeeper or a janitor than to sell that which doesn't honory You.

Make a way for him where there doesn't seem to be a way, because You are the way maker.

Open up a door that will launch him into your destiny for his life. Suppy all his needs in the mean time. May he not lack a thing.

Bless him for his stand for righteousness.

Amen.

 Re:

Hi Mike

The phrase I was given for you is this, from 2Chronicles 25:9. “The Lord is able to give you much more than this.”

In the original context the man to whom these words were spoken wasn't even a particuarly faithful follower of the Lord.

Therefore, how much more will He honour you for your stand, and supply your need.

In Him

Jeannette

 Re: Please pray, I quit my job.

I'll pray for you.

Psalm 34:8-10
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
9 O fear the LORD, you His saints;
For to those who fear Him there is no want.
10 The young lions do lack and suffer hunger;
But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing.
