 Kenny B., my prison pen-pal

I've been writing to a young man in prison (he just turned 21) for a few months now. He's made it clear that while "he respects my religion," he's not interested in God or a god or anything involving the world outside what he can touch and see.

Well I received a letter from him telling me he was grateful that I would write to him, because it's been difficult lately. Then he popped the question. "Have you ever felt lost?"

He expressed that he feels alone, abandoned, *lost*. He said all he knows is that right now, he's in prison, and three years from now, he'll be released, and he doesn't know what's going to happen to him. He doesn't know where his future lies.

Seven pages later, I've dropped the letter in the mail, and am praying for his salvation. I wanted to ask if those reading this would pray for him, too. He is respected in his prison system, and not only would his own salvation glorify God, but I know it would impact all those around him, too.

Re: Kenny B., my prison pen-pal

Update:

No reply letter yet, but I'm hoping for one today. Usually, because his penitentiary is close, I receive a response in one or two days (local postal system is very fast).

With a seven page letter, there's a lot to respond to, so I'm not worried yet, but thank you for your prayers and please continue to remember him.

Have been in his shoes, surely I will pray.

 Re:

These posts deserve priority over all else. My prayers (though weak) are offered.

 Re: Kenny B.

Praying again for your friend, all the prison populations - and for you not to be so worried.

I know you said Kenny B. wasn't a believer, but that doesn't affect the power of the Holy Spirit.

Be comforted, my Brother.

 Re:

Still no word back from him, and we're still praying, too. Thank you for remembering him -- I'm about to put a "thinking of you" card in the mail tomorrow or the next day. Hoping he hasn't somehow found himself in trouble, where he's not able to correspond.
