 Re:

Brother Phillip:

Paul teaches...

Romans 4:

Rom. 4:13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

The promise does not come through the law...do you see this precept?

 Re:

Not as the Law of Moses, but as the works of faith that Abraham is famous for. For the promise of the Seed to come was given while Abraham was yet a Gentile, but became an Israelite, the circumcision, the Israel that would be under the Law of Moses.

Romans 4:24-25 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Who's justification?
1 Corinthians 1:30

 Re:

Brother Phillip wrote:

" Who's justification? "

Rom. 4:16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all."

Paul wrote that those who are of the faith of Abraham, "who is the father of us all," receive the same promise. There is no difference because it is all based on grace and not works.

Do you hear what Paul is teaching. He does not make a distinction as you do in terms of the gospel. Faith is the means by which we all come to know salvation. Faith finds it's source in the words that one hears by the Holy Spirit that come from Christ.

God has always spoken to those who are justified.
Habakkuk 2

4 “Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.

These people were also justified and also lived by faith.

Jeff

 Re:

Brother Phillip asked'

"Whose justification?"

Rom. 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Does Paul make any distinction between Abraham and us interms of justification?
