There was a rather lengthy discussion on David Hogan a while back here on SI. You can check it out here:David Hogan - 350 raised from the deadYour statement seemed to summarize what I gathered from the thread... A lot of good, a lot of bad.Hope that helps to get you started.-K DAY
Reading over the Hogan info, I think very simply, that the biblical command concerning healing, raising from the dead, etc, is to simply do it, and watch people do it, but not preach about it. We hear a lot of preaching about miracles when preaching is supposed to accompany the miracles. Preaching is supposed to focus on heaven, the Kingdom, and God Himself. Healing is the accompanying sign to the message in the New Testament, not the message itself. If the Scripture read as this I would say otherwise:"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and has annointed me to heal""Lay hands upon these bones""If healing be lifted up...""Faith comes by seeing, and seeing by miracles.""Go unto all the world and raise the dead.""I came not to baptize, but to heal the sick.""the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of miracles"
