 Love not Judgement

Love the People, not there sin. Jesus saw sin but did not, subject to it.We have to look beyound our own views and some times narrow thoughts. A man lived his whole life and then found him self hanging on a cross next to jesus. And Jesus took that man. What a pleasure to be alive, What an opportunity a Great gift to learn Gods Mind - Will. Eat the Bread of Life with all. Even what might appear to be the most evil person on earth they to are still physically alive. Feed,Clothe and give your life & Jesus can and will do the rest. Fear No Evil or Give any value to it. But use what Life & Talents you been given and give to some one else, Most of all with Love.

Jesus is the Life, then what Life do we consider that we are Living, Let us all be examined.

 Re: Love

Amen brother, let us love all people, especially the least. Even though they may be the chief of sinners and we are grieved at their sin. let us view them through the eyes of faith and see all people as what they could become if Christ gets a hold of them. May we see all people potentially as people for whom Christ died, and may we love them and pour out lives for them.

May Christ help us

 Re:

Thanks here4him. Well, today my son and I got to put our belief's to the test. Yesterday I drove my family into the heart of New Orlean's Lower 9th Ward after reading about a nearly 60-year-old man struggling to rebuild the home that Hurricane Katrina destroyed last year. The newspaper article told of a man who wakes up every morning to begin working at dawn and continues till dusk by himself. He was quoted as saying, "You can't wait for nobody to fix what's yours. You've just got to do it yourself. We can't live like this forever, it's just me who's got to fix up this house, so we have some place right to live."

I'm a contractor by trade, so we made a material list and went back this morning with a truck load of materials to begin working. Within an hour a passerby stopped and offered his help. A little later another construction worker stopped and offered to help for a couple of hours. Later, a couple stopped and helped too. So, Mr. Joseph, the homeowner went from working alone for the past several months to supervisor of an impromptu work crew. The small handful of neighbors emerged from their FEMA trailers and came to see what was happening. People asked if we could help them and all I could tell them was that my life is not my own and until the Lord took me somewhere else, I was at their disposal.

Most importantly, what I saw was that by deciding to heed the call I heard in my heart...other people were willing to come and join in and a glimmer of hope was restored to a desolate people and neighborhood. However, I could have looked at Mr. Joseph, a black man with 6 children...all to different mothers and decided not to worry about his, or his current family's problems. I could have been scared to take my son and business truck into an area where murders, carjackings, and gang wars are a daily occurence. But I asked myself, how could I possibly be a representative of the living God I serve if I stay at home or just sit in a church pew and judge Mr. Joseph and his life? Did he deserve to lose his home and possessions because he is a sinner? Personally, that is not for me to worry about. I am just told to love my neighbor and not to hide the light that is in me under a basket. So, as for me and my family, we will serve the lord by helping some poor sinners rebuild their homes.

 Re: Love

Oh this is the best thread on the entire site! Absolutely, without a doubt. MrMagoo, you're so blessed to've started it.

Christianity is such a hard way of life, and it's so hard to stay open to love, and it's even harder to give love freely when so much of Christianity consists of being attacked - especially by your Christian family.

It's easy to become emotionally and spiritually hard, but we only hurt Jesus by being that way. Love is the emotional cornerstone of all of our faith and we're so blessed to be loved by the creator of all of this. How can we not be bursting with love and compassion and warmth in return?

Nowadays, more people are converting to Islam than they are coming to Christ, and that's because so many people are desperately searching. I don't know how it is in America or elsewhere, but in England, I know many many newcomers to church give it a go then leave instantly, due to in-groups and mean-ness. They search for acceptance, for a salve to all the ugliness and darknes in their lives, and often times are met with cold eyes and judgement at the church door. Well, we all *are* the church, so it is up to all of us to be the human face of Jesus, and to welcome unbelievers, and each other when we're in need, to The Faith with love and with open arms.

Sinners, fornicators, drug addicts, society's "flotsam and jetsam", peolpe who are broken, all the way up to famous people and people who seem to have it all - we must love them all with a full heart, and with open arms. If they ask us to go a mile, we go two.

May God pour His love and compassion into our spirits and our hearts, so we can give that love *freely* to others.

How blessed we all are. Our God is awesome and perfect! Rejoice, laugh, and spread the Good News! Yaaaay!

 Re:

Good Evening and God Bless....

Jesus' voice is made up of Many Waters - Love-Compasion- Kindness are chief among those. Every parable, letter and story of the lives of those flesh and blood patriarchs and matriarchs of the bible...all the way to to the eternal life everlasting is one story. The story of Brothers and Sisters, men and women living not as themselves by as the reflection of God: His bride as described in the scriptures. Every person on this planet breaths the same air, yet so many people live and believe that they are divided and somehow different from everyone around them. Whether it be through governments, cultural beliefs, lifestyle choices all the way to denominations in the gatherings of believers.

We are thousands of miles apart and will most likely never physically meet. Yet I know you and you are with me along with all those who share the same mind and heart: That of Christ. As the Lord uses us to help these people rebuild there lives I will feel you there in spirit.

Now, more on what I originally typed about. What is the measure of a persons life, how can it be measured, and more importantly...who is fit to do the measuring? It seems that most Christians I have met, as well as most every other person in the world, seems to be looking for some sort of instant gratification. They are unwilling to invest in something or someone without seeing the results of their investment...In other words, they cannot plant the seed without wanting to wait around watch and aid the plant in growing and see the eventual harvest. Now I am not saying that the lord NEVER tells us to do this, but I'm not sure it is necessary every time. It may take 10 minutes, 10 years, or even an entire lifetime for the single seed to find fertile ground within a person and grow. Yet most believers I have met will look at a person and find their faults....attempt to help and when the perhaps unwilling recipient does not respond as the giver wishes....that person is dismissed and disregarded completely. Possibly, all you were meant to do that day was fix a flat tire for them and go on your way down the road. Instead, people attempt to give God at every opportunity instead of giving life. Loving others through random acts of kindness and consistantly putting others before yourself will allow far more planting of those precious seeds as well as some cultivation of the tender seedlings planted in the distant past by a stranger.

Please know that I mean no criticism of any of my brothers or sisters in Christ. Jesus said:
John 10:17-18
"Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."
If we are to live as the reflection of Christ, then we have this ability as well. We walk in his life and if we choose to live by being divided by the politics, ideology, and theology of men, then we cannot operate in the Love of Christ and we let our lives be taken from us...not give them freely as Christ did for the greater glory of the Father and his Kingdom.
Sorry to ramble...their is so much to say, but so few correct words to say it...sometimes those words escape me.
