Man The Lifebelts(The Angry Waves)A sinner is sinking deep in sinThe angry waves are billowing around himO help! help! O Lord even if you are thereO help! O help!A Christian came along in a boat who knew the man.Instead of throwing him a lifebelt, he cut the ropeAfter all, didn't he (the sinner) deserve to get punishedHow dare he behave like thatHe knew the sinner well, he knew the wickedness of his heartHe was glad that he was not like thatAnd so the sinner cried even the more O help helpEven he couldn't say Lord anymore because now all he had left was the power of thoughtHe was suffering so much under the waves were getting the better of him. He was getting dizzy and was drifting in and out of consciousness. The thought was coming to him 'give up give up you can't fight it now sleep in the ocean, sleep. But the Lord heard his cry. With a gentle hand He reached out to him and rescued him, set his feet on solid ground. This is not a story. It has happened to me many times. Even though I cried out and recognised my sin, recognised I was wrong there was none to help. I sought the Lord and He heard my cry. The conventional attitude is to cut off from those who are suffering to after all show them no compassion because they simply don't deserve it.Is this you?
