The Collected Works of J. Hudson Taylor
We are delighted to be able to offer, for the first time ever in print, The Collected Works of J. Hudson Taylor. Encompassing biography, history, sermons, addresses and published works, there is something here for all interests.
Without doubt, Taylor was one of the most influencial believers of the late 19th century. When he arrived in China, there were an estimated 300 believers in a population that amounted to nearly 1/5th of the entire world. By his death there were over 100,000 believers in China and a host of trained workers to carry on the mission. Most humbling is what becomes clear in reading his devotional works, sermons and addresses. In the midst of administrating one of the most aggressive missionary movements since the book of Acts, he obviously guarded his time for the study of the Scriptures and fellowship with the Lord with great diligence. His works, though not strictly theology, immediately alert the reader of the author's great investment of time, meditation and prayer on the text at hand. Whether the subject is missions, union with Christ, the final judgment of believers, or the privileges and shortcomings of the Lord's church, nothing is flippant, and the fruit of time and toil is evident.
Personally, I highly recommend the ministry of www.dustandashes.com call or email brother JP from that ministry and he will help you find alot of old books that you have been probably searching around for awhile. He has reprinted some old classics such as this hudson taylor volume and also a old horatious bonar bible commentary set and the george muller narratives, both of which I have.
