Saints this coming Sunday will be our 8th call to cover the upcoming Sermon Index Conference in prayer. As many in this forum know Greg stepped out in faith to put this conference together to awaken the church to upcoming persecution. That is the N. American church. There is a remnant who feel that this message needs to go out. Also we have seen in recent post in this forum that hatred of believers is building across the land.

I grant you that persecution is not a glamorous topic. In that it does not tickle the flesh. In persecution we are talking about the cross. We are talking about slaying our lives by taking up an instrument of death to follow Jesus.

On the night he was to carry his own cross for our sins. Jesus took his three closest friends with him and asked if they would pray with himfor
one hour. You know what they did. They fell asleep.

Dear Saints I am afraid this is what is happening here. We are at the half. way point and have 7 more prayer calls until the conference. Yet I fear that a spirit of apathy and slumber is descending opon us. The desire to pray for this conference is wanning.

Last Sunday we had only 4 people on the call. One was from Sermon Index. I know that those four were the ones God called. But I am sensing spiritual of sluggishness and apathy.

Saints this conference will not be what God wants it to be unless it is covered in prayer. Thus I call out to the remnant. To those whom God is calling. To those whom God has chosen. Please come and give an hour of your time and pray for the Sermon Index conference this coming Sunday.

I do not know yet who will lead off. But even there is no call leader. The Holy Spirit is present. And he can lead us to pray.

I will post this information on the conference's Facebook page so that others will know about the prayer call. As for myself, I doubt that I will be able to join in the prayer call but I have certainly been praying daily for the conference and have told several about it. Thankfully I will be able to post updates on the Facebook page much more frequently now, so praise God for that.

Thank you for doing what you are with this prayer call, brother. Prayer is a vital part to the success of anything God desires us to do in His kingdom.
