I have to ask the question; who does God use that He does not use them, "in spite" of themselves? Is our doctrine so pure that God can now use us without having to overlook somewhat? What about our shortcomings? Does God not use a person "in spite" of their shortcomings?

There is a huge difference between differing minor doctrines, and core beliefs. There is a difference between heretical teachings, and a persons shortcomings.

It's not about what I believe... it's about what the Bible says.

Salvation by grace alone thru the blood of Jesus Christ. Nothing more, nothing less.

We are not saved by sacrificing Christ over and over again in the mass. That is a blasphemous teaching. To say it isnt important is to downplay what Christ did on the cross.

I will always take a firm stand on that.

Did Patrick or Columba teach this?

I was answering your question about God using people in spite of their shortcomings.
