You cannot misquote me to slander me.

Brothertom,

I wish to assure you that I have no inclination to murder anyone. I have never read Calvin or about Him. I happened upon it from simply reading the Bible. Many early Church fathers believed in Predestination. But I did not get it from them. I happened on it from reading the scriptures. But I do appreciate your concern.

Brothertom wrote: "My views are based on the Scirptures, which we will not discuss on this forum, nevermore."

"Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,

`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven,
'thou,' I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven
wandering from the nightly shore - Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'"

Sorry for this, whenever I hear the word 'Nevermore' my mind goes right to Edgar Alan Poe's "The Raven'.

Oddly enough, when I hear the word 'spumoni', I think of Bela Lugosi.

My best wishes to you, Thanks for sharing some of your views."....ArtB

...Is your mental disability Scitzophrenia? Why? because I wonder if you are not answering yourself as you go along, and attributing the negative replies to those who may disagree with you, after hearing vague voices in your head.

I did NOT write anything above, or any part of it, that you say I did. Please retract this mistake, or misinformation, or lie as soon as possible, and please do it publicly.

I hope it was just a mistake, and if so will accept your apology; though I am not surprised somehow that you are quoting the morbid Edgar Allen Poe, with references to Spumoni and Lugosi.

If you are desiring to be banned, I assure you that activity like this will not be tolerated by the moderators. Again, I hope that his is an honest mistake.

Where did you get that quote, if you think it true?..Tom

You are so very kind. It brings me tears, the good kind of course.

My mental Handicap is real. I struggle with memory recall. The more complex my thoughts, the more my brain becomes painful, even to the point where I can not think. My mind becomes mush.

That's when I come onto Sermonindex to write My posts! Ha Ha ha, Rofl!!!

Resulting from a stroke I had in September 2005. I also lost my eyesight for a few seconds. I am so thankful to God that when I cried to Him to restore my eyesight, and my eyesight returned.

Actually, when my mind closes down, all I could do is sleep.

O sleep, O gentle sleep, nature's soft nurse! W.S.

Sleep that knits up the ravell'd sleave of care,... W.S.

... and our little life is rounded with a sleep. W.S.

We are such stuff as dreams are made of. W.S.

 Re:

I knew all of that, Brother Art, from a post many months ago that I replied to, that's why I prefer you use the termonology - "a 'physical' impairment that 'intermittently' weakens you cognitively" - rather than leave it up to people's imagination what "mental handicap" means or any other description with the word "mental" in it --- though I knew what you meant. :)

You also have a Great sense of humor and "a merry heart maketh good like a medicine."

All things in moderation. I have a problem with my funny-bone and have to know when to reign it in. I've always been a "silly kid" and have report cards from Kindergarten on up to my adult classes to prove it.
But maybe if I quit reining-in my funny bone - I'd be HEALED by now. :o)

GOD Bless you!

Re: Slanderous lies, Lugosi, Spumoni, and Edgar Allen Poe. Sleep on.

Now you are just mocking us, as we believe your mental handicap, along with the lies, are uncontrollable, and you write and post and then it's all a dream...;

"My mind becomes mush."
That's when I come onto Sermonindex to write My posts! Ha Ha ha, Rofl!!!"

You are not the first one here to play those games, for it is an open forum, but you will find it is only for the responsible, like having a license to drive. We have had many Universalists, Cultists, and deceivers come through.

Everyone, even these are welcome to post and participate if they are respectful and responsible, just like driving a car. You have just confessed that you are not. I leave this to the moderators, as I will waste no more time that I have focusing on you...ArtB... good-bye.

PS:..[edit] Post deleted by ArtB with apology and no explanation. He does not know where he saw it. [ but posted it anyway along with the dark poems..]

Another one rides through..

Re: You cannot misquote me to slander me.

Brothertom, I am not in anyway Schizophrenic. I removed the offending post.

I have apologized for misquoting you. And I'm sorry for offending you.

But if you want to compare my understandu=ing of Predestination by quoting Wiki, a source I would never use, And bring in that Calvin was a murderer, and associate that with His predestination, Then I believe you owe an apology for bring that into the conversation. That is a hit below the belt. How about Augustine's belief in in Predestination, he was not a murderer. So exactly what was your point!
