Audio Sermons : T. Austin-Sparks :  Blessedness of the Unoffended

Blessedness of the Unoffended by T. Austin-Sparks

Topic: Offences
Scripture(s): 2 Kings 2:1,Matthew 11:2,Hebrews 10:35
Description: The date delivered was 05/01/1959. This message brings to light the stories of Elijah and Elisha, as well as John the Baptist. It is easy to become offended at God when He moves in ways that we do not expect -- especially if He does not seem to be moving at all! But, our heart's cry should be to know Him. If this is the case, we will never be offended, no matter how "forgotten" we feel. Even our master Jesus exclaimed many times through the gospels 'blessed is he who is not offended in me'.

 Humbling
It is a humbling thought that God would be willing to work without us. That He is not dependent on us but us on Him. But God is also very willing to have us involved in his work only when we are fully dependent Him in relationship with His Son. May we be servants that are useful to Him that we prove in our lives that the "Lord is our life." Great message.

 Great Help!
Hallelujah for this word!! Great help and encouragement in truly being humble before God and His sovereign work on this earth and on His Church! He will build His Church! Hallelujah! "You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. But we see Jesus..."(!!!) Amen!! (Hebrews 2: 8,9a NKJV)
