| | The Aroma of Prayer by Jim Cymbala
Topic: Prayer Scripture(s): Matthew 21:12-13 | | Description: Jim Cymbala passionately appeals to the example of Jesus and the church in the Book of Acts as a pattern for prayer in the Church. In a day when more people are turning to crack than to Christ, he warns that real revival must have a praying people. When the church today is being inundated with technicians, specialists and methodologies, the answer is not in these but in the power of the Holy Spirit through believing petition. Cymbala closes by testifying to the God who answers prayer, sharing a very personal account of his wayward daughter brought back to the Lord in a glorious way.

Same message as 'Fresh wind, Fresh fire' | | Good message on prayer with a wonderful testimony at the end about answered prayer with regards to one of his daughters who walked away from God.
| The Throne of Grace | | Wonderfully encouraging. The testimony at the end of this message has been such a special encouragement to me since the first time I heard it over the radio. I was drawn to this and another message by Pastor Cymbala again today and it affects me still, especially as he recalls his daughter asking who'd been praying for her. What urgency, what intensity, should we be running with to the Throne of grace that awaits us! To your knees brother and sister, let us go to our knees in prayer before our God! |
