Legalism in what we eat and drink is of no value to our holiness

Piper is refuting teetotalism as a requirement for church membership. Church regulations about food and drink are debunked as an excuse for lack of purity. The New Testament never imposes such regulations, and in fact, doing so can be a sign of faded faith. *Please note, it is clear in this sermon that alcoholism is a destructive force, and Piper and his family do not drink alcohol.
