| | Militant Evangelism by Ray Comfort
Topic: Evangelism Scripture(s): 1 Timothy 6:5-12, Galatians 6:14 | | Description: There are 3 keys for an army to succeed: 1) it must know its objectives and the direction its heading, 2) it must know its weapons, and 3) the power of prayer. "The Body of Christ," say Ray Comfort quoting Oswald J. Smith, "is not a pleasure cruiser on its way to heaven but a battleship stationed at the very gates of hell." The Christian has a 3-fold enemy--the world, the flesh and the devil--to overcome through love and gratitude for the nail-pierced Savior, Jesus Christ.

I really liked the focus of the message - how the Christian is part of an army, and our need to be focused upon our objectives just as the Lord Jesus was. He has a number of great analogies to help grasp spiritual truths and see ourselves so we can change. I became interested to listen to this from this comment: http://www.sermonindex.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=10278&forum=16&3
