Walking Through the Valley of Weeping by Carter Conlon

Topic: Weeping
Scripture(s): Numbers 32:20-23, John 15:12-17, 1 Corinthians 11:22-30
Description: Be ready to write down the many other scriptures Pastor Conlon goes through in this message about what it really means to be part of the Body of Christ, and follow the example of Christ, denying ourselves and taking up our cross. The heart of Christ is to minister to and serve others, and he wants us to share his heart. The devil is trying to destroy the Body, going after the weak and the young. We are to watch for our brothers and sisters, and if we see them in a battle, we must be willing to fight for them. To go into the secret closet and war against this thing on their behalf, to love not just in word, but in deed. Selfishness has disastrous consequences. Take heed.

Be Sure, Your Sin Will Find You Out by Carter Conlon

Topic: Sin
Scripture(s): Numbers 32:16-23
Description: March 16, 2008 - The whole moral law calls us to be separate from the thinking of the world. If you settle in a certain comfort zone and begin to focus on self, to the exclusion of those who haven't come into your inheritance, this is the sin that WILL find you out. We can be sure that there will be a great personal cost to those who pursue self interest while there are others who still don't know the Lord. We are not called to live for ourselves. We are called to follow our Savior.

The Graves of Lust by Teresa Conlon

Topic:
Scripture(s): Numbers 11,Psalm 105:40
Description: God was taking Israel through the wilderness and preparing them to enter the promised land. But they did not like what God was feeding them, and complained wanting flesh. God wanted to feed them what would make them strong, and they wanted what would make them fat and slow. A great contrast between today's church seeking the flesh more than Spirit.

(Through The Bible) Numbers 11-20 by Chuck Smith

Topic:
Scripture(s): Numbers 11-20
Description: In numbers there is a pattern of chronic complaining. In asmuich as God is in control of the circumstances of our live but if we complain against the circumstances then we are actually complaining against God Himself. All things work together to the good of those who are called by God and according to His purposes. We are to be thankful in all circumstances. So if I start to murmur and complain then I am murming and complaining against the Lord. God continually forgives his people because He is loving and is longsuffering. God’s patience and longsuffering are shown through Gods dealings with the nation of Israel. God is about to wipe out Israel and start a new nation, but because of Moses pleadings He didn’t do it. God is immutable which means that he does not change. Behold I am the Lord God that changeth not. This planet is in rebellion to God but God wants to bless this planet and bring it back into harmony with Him. Through those life’s that God touches He wants through us to touch others life’s. Then God shows us His will and purpose so that we can share in His heart for the lost.

Abide in God's shade, warmth and light by Erlo Stegen

Topic: Abiding
Scripture(s): Numbers 9:15
Description: Much can be said about this. Look at God’s care. God gave a cloud for shade. At night there was a fire to warm them. God was there to help them. In Ps 37:23 we read that the steps of a man are established by God when God delights in his way. You go where God goes and when he stands you stand. No matter whether in bright sunlight or at night, keep your eyes fixed on God. Pierre, may your family know that you don’t do anything unless God tells you to. This will turn your life into heaven or it will turn your life into hell if you don't do it. Nobody is too old or too young. We don’t have a cloud or a fire that leads us anymore. We don’t have the glory that they saw but we have something better, and that is the glory and beauty of the Lord Jesus. May He always be before your eyes. May your eyes be fixed on Jesus alone. If He is in you, the glory of that fire will be in you. God covered them and kept them and lead them. Can you think of anything better? God covers you. You’ve got Jesus to cover you and His fire is there for everyone to see.

(Through The Bible) Numbers 1-10 by Chuck Smith

Topic:
Scripture(s): Numbers 1-10
Description: The book of numbers gets its name because twice in the book the children of Israel were numbered. Once in the beginning of the wandering of the children of Israel in the wilderness and once before they came into the Promised Land. Less people came out of the wilderness then came into it. Of the various tribes there were chief men, and Moses and Aaron took these men. They were chiefs because they were expressed by their names. Elezer means my God is a rock, v6 at peace with God, a diviner, v8 a gift of God, v9 my God is father, my God has heard, v10 my God is a rewarder, v12 brother of help, v13 event of God, v14 God addeth, etc.. these names were of the chiefs or leaders of the various tribes. Then all the tribes are numbered, all twelve tribes. They would see the cloud and would be reminded of the centrality of the people, how important that a nation is to have God as its centrality. When people lose this centrality then that nation is in decline. America was founded on God and the founding fathers were bringing a recognition of the need of God. In God we trust is even on the coins for America, which has become somewhat of a hypocrisy.

(Through The Bible) Numbers 21-28 by Chuck Smith

Topic:
Scripture(s): Numbers 21-28
Description: The people spoke against God and Moses and complained of why they got took out of Egypt. There are people who are chronically complaining and there are people that are chronically complaining. But Gods will is for us to be thankful in all things. Manna was angels food “he fed them with angels food” it is a great provision of the Lord. And God in judgment because of their complaining send fiery serpents to kill the people. There was a confession and repentance of the sin by the people. Moses pray for us and ask God to help us was the plea of the people. God told Moses to get a serpent and put it on the brass pole. So that if anyone looked to the snake on the pole and they would be healed and not die. And it’s the same with the gospel that if people just look upon the cross of Christ believing then they would be saved. The brass is always a symbol of judgment and the serpent was always a symbol of sin. People afterwards took the brass serpent and began to worship it instead of the living God. People seek after idols that remind people of Gods presence that indicates that we have lost His actual presence. So this speaks of spiritual degradation. Hezekiah broke it to pieces and said it was a piece of brass. It is sad when people start to worship a church instead of the living God the church represents.

(Through The Bible) Numbers 29-36 by Chuck Smith

Topic:
Scripture(s): Numbers 29-36
Description: The once and for all sacrifice for sins is Jesus Christ once in for all for mankind. All the sacrifices in these books show forth of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is better not to vow at all then to break it, God is not requiring anyone to make a vow. A vow is done on our part towards God and He will honor it if its done right. If you make a vow unto the Lord it is very important to keep it. We have in the Old Testament that were unfortunate and were bad vows. A married women that makes a vow the husband can disallow the vow, if not it because a binding vow. In the 30th chapter of numbers it’s the laws of vows.

Topic: Godly Home Series
Scripture(s): Proverbs 29:18, Numbers 14:24, Psalm 78:1-7
Description: Part 2 of the visionary aspect of childraising stresses how essential having a vision is, for without a vision, the people perish. 'A vision is a mental image imprinted upon the heart by the Spirit of God.' Kenaston shows God's purpose to train up many generation families to win a lost and dying world, showing several examples from the Bible. If God did it for them, He can do it for you!
