THE KEY TO FORGIVENESS by Basilea Schlink

Topic: Radio Show
Scripture(s): Matthew 7:5
Description: Maybe you feel that it isn’t true that God lives and works in your life. However, Jesus is standing at the door of your heart and knocking. Have you closed it to Him and your brothers by refusing to forgive those who have sinned against you? Maybe you want to forgive, but you just can’t. Kanaan is the home of the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary, an international, interdenominational organization founded in 1947 within the framework of the German Evangelical (Protestant) Church.  Ask Jesus Now For The Things That You Need by Carter Conlon

Topic: Provision
Scripture(s): Matthew 7:7-12
Description: November 14, 2010 - The time for seeking God is now. The Bible says ask, seek, knock and God Himself will answer you and give you what you need. The question is what are we asking for? We are called to be a testimony of Jesus Christ in the earth. The light and life of Christ is given to those who are given for the purposes of God. Ask for your heart to be broken for the lost. Ask for the strength to take up your cross and follow Jesus. We are to seek first His kingdom. Seek the heart and the will of God and He promises that all we need will be given to us and at the end of the day we will have joy!

THE FATHER DOES NOT GIVE US STONES INSTEAD OF BREAD by Basilea Schlink

Topic: Radio Show
Scripture(s): Matthew 7:9
Description: God lives and works today! When Jesus talks about the Heavenly Father, He says, “What father would give his son a stone to eat when he asked him for bread? How much more then will your Father in heaven give you good gifts if you ask Him?” The following meditation will share what happened when the Sisters from the little Land of Canaan asked for a “different kind of bread.”

Take Heed of Sinning in Thought by Ralph Venning

Topic: Audio Books
Scripture(s): Matthew 12:35
Description: (Excerpts from Ralph Venning’s book - The Sinfulness of Sin (Printed in 1669), read by Ryan Martin. Seeing that sin is so sinful, it is evil even to be a thinking sinner, or a sinner though only in thought. It is too commonly said that thoughts are free. They are indeed free in respect of men, who cannot judge us for them, but God can and will. Many people who seem to be modest and sparing as to evil words and deeds will still make bold with thoughts and, as the saying is, pay it with thinking. Such are speculative, contemplative sinners.

 Gifts by A.W. Tozer

Topic: Gifts
Scripture(s): John 3:16, Matthew 20:28, Acts 20:35
Description: Length: 40 minutes, 54 seconds. Evident in this message, entitled “Gifts,” is A. W. Tozer’s mastery of homiletics. From John 3:16, Matthew 20:28, Acts 20:35, he asks us to note four truths: 1) the father gave his Son, 2) the Son gave his life, 3) they did so in order that we might be ransomed, and 4) it is more blessed to give than to receive. Dr. Tozer then considers who we might want to thank some day for the gifts that they gave to Jesus. The wise men gave gold (lasting treasure), frankincense (worship), and myrrh (bitter sacrifice); Mary gave her mortal body; Joseph gave his faith; the shepherds gave their reverent wonder; Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha, gave the welcome of their home; the women following Jesus gave a seamless, linen robe; and Joseph of Arimathaea gave his own, new grave. These are the gifts that they gave to Jesus. What might we give him that we might not be outdone in giving?

Obedience of Faith - Illustrated by the Disciples on the Stormy Sea by Ed Miller

Topic:
Scripture(s): Mark 6:32-52, Matthew 13:13-33, John 6:1-21
Description: Ed Miller shows how futile it is to try to obey God apart from a miracle. Miller develops three ways disciples can relate to the Lord Jesus as occurs in the account on the stormy sea: Jesus on the mountain, Jesus on the sea, and Jesus on the boat. "God always deals with us as we are and where we are in order to make us what He wants us to be and to bring us to the place that He wants us." (NOTE: Pt. 1: "Obedience of Grace - Illustrated by Noah")

Forgiving and Being Forgiven by Roy Hession

Topic: Forgiveness
Scripture(s): Mark 11:25, Matthew 5:23-25
Description: Debt and guilt are the same before God and it is a great debt that we owe Him due to our guilt before Him. Thus our forgiveness came at the greatest cost to Him the death of His Son, the Lord Jesus. And it is not without a cost that we are to forgive others as we have been forgiven, to forgive means to forgoe our rights and to suffer the cost. Pastor Hession shows that at the root of unforgiveness is pride saying 'I wont forgive this person, they have violated my rights!' and also that when we are wronged and forgive then when the person comes and ask forgiveness we will be able to say 'There is nothing to forgive' as it is an old account that has been settled, just as ours was on Calvary.
